I googled the question what time Jay Leno taped The Tonight Show and here's what I got: :D

Answers:
1. They tape it earlier in the day but hold it to show in the regular time slot.

2. They tape it or record it or whatever you call it nowadays at 4:30 in the afternoon, and then broadcast it in the 11:30-ish time slot. (Here in San Diego, it’s 11:35--don’t know why.)

I assume these are all Pacific Time...
