What a performance!!!!!! I said this after Ste. Agathe and can say it again after last nights performance on Leno....love looks really good on Adam Lambert. I could feel it.  |

Okay, I'm going to rant so scroll if you're not interested. And no, I haven't imbibed, unfortunately. I hate what American Idol has done to me and exposed me to. Before Idol the only board I frequented was a Lefties Forum where we'd rage at the universe for all the inequities we face. (Did you know some salad forks have a sharpened tine but you have to be right-handed to enjoy the benefit? Grrrr.) But back to Idol, before Idol I'd hear a singer/song and either like it or not, but not analyze every freakin' detail about the vocals and delivery. Who knew or cared if each and every note was pitch perfect? I didn't, I just cared...no that's wrong, I didn't care one way or the other. I just liked it or not, remembered it or not, bought it if I felt like it. I hate that I can't just view Adam's performances now with that same objectivity, or should I say obtuseness. I hate what Idol has done to me. I want that carefree attitude back, darn it. By the way, I loved his Leno performance. I saw his hand tremble and my thought was the adrenaline had kicked in just like it did at the AMAs. It was a huge deal to sing the first single from this sophomore album live for the very first time. I didn't see nerves, I saw adrenaline brought on by the magnitude of the occasion. That's my thought anyway. Oh, and Cassie, you said in an earlier post it was as if he was trying to sound more pop-y on the verses. I thought that exact same thing! But back to Idol and the other thing I hate about it. Until Idol I had never been exposed to such hate. Never knew the term "bash" until I ran into it on the original American Idol forum. Totally unjustified hate directed at young kids who did nothing more than compete on a talent show. I hate the hate, I hate the bashing, and I hate that I've typed that word so many times in this post! Ha! So let me tell you what I love instead. I love Adamtopia and the camaraderie that exists here. Everyone is just so damn kind, caring and decent! Glad I found this place and though I rarely say it, I appreciate each and every person who contributes here. Even if you do nothing more than lurk, you're adding to the member count and I appreciate that. |

All good! We are just  still about last nights F*UCKING AMAZING PERFORMANCE!! ;D YES! lol. Now that I've read it I feel better, I scanned something about the lawsuit on twitter and started to angst a little. But, after reading thread everything is all good, and I love that Adam is fighting those lying, skeeving, sleazeballs. Leno BTIKM is still on repeat. Gah that the bridge on down gives me such a jolt, sooo soo good! Hey question, the synced version from last night was the best quality sound/video. I dowloaded Terra's audio, and the audio is not as good/loud as the youtubed synced version, so I'm just replaying that one. But I was wondering if anyone had a good quality rip from the synced version? peeking in after being on these threads for hours. I remembered when sauli's tatoo was first shown someone said it was the finish word "oota" that translates to WAIT in english. as far as some folks relating the tattoo word to a possible change in behaviour that may include alcohol consumption, it does not seem like that is too far of a stretch. Adam has said he is reevaluating his life choices, has referred to the incident as immature, acknowledges his upcoming birthday as a time to reflect and volunteered the info that he has had no alcohol since the beginning of the new year. Sauli has said similar things in his blogs, mentioning alcohol specifically. So I can't fault anyone for believing the guys may have had a bit of an issue with it. (obviously) The timing of the tattoos, (does anyone know when they got them?), can't help but make me think the ordeal they experienced in Finland did not play a role. I admire these men so very much. regarding the Leno performance. basically loved it. unfortunately i flashed buble in my brain more often than i would have liked to. Not that adam is Anything like michael. It must have been the suit and the squeeing mature ladies. eta: not a new member, just moody and hypersensitve[laughs] Well, welcome back then! :D   |

ROFLM(tired)AO! And Belle, that means I am rolling on the floor laughing my (tired) ass off! I admit to lurking there occasionally, but amidst the sometimes snarky/funny posts (less amusing than they used to be, I must say) there is too much using us as the butt of jokes/condescension without ever putting anything in context. Who gives a fuck what they think? And why am I going ANYWHERE besides here? THIS IS A HAPPY PLACE! 99% of the time. With a LOT of intelligence and civility and humor to balance out the 1%. So ITA with...was it MyS*&@^#r? {I'm in "the nursing home" you see and CRS : }--why go anywhere else? Freak Y little kids can Eat it! I keed, I keed...they're just having fun, too! ;D Now, "put that in your blog and smoke it" as Adam said in Council Bluffs! And pooh to censoring yourself Gelly...I think OOFTA has multiple private meanings for them and I'm happy as hell they choose to keep THAT for themselves! Whatever it stands for, I'm just pleased they're joined by its meaning! Anyone else just about BERT themselves out over Leno? Man, I'm tired! My adrenaline was pretty damned high last night, too--gotta rest and hydrate to get ready to watch the paint dry on the Ellen cams! |
