Adding to the quote Maya brought over, Brian goes on to say, " And with this particular singer, with this chap here, we can take the songs to an even greater place in some cases. We can really explore new territory."
How very exciting!!!

From Eddie Trunk Podcast with Brian May: "It's safe to say it has exceeded every expectation. It is incredible. I can hardly believe what we're doing with him - it's enormous and full of joy. It's just so much joy and fun and it's very much like the old days. "I know Freddie [Mercury] would love it - I just wish he was here enjoying it. Adam is in no way a copyist of Freddie, but he has so much of the similar kind of roots of Freddie in his personality. He doesn't have to try to be funny or camp or whatever. "And apparently he doesn't have to try to have an extraordinary voice. I mean that is a voice beyond any expectation. I don't think people- well some people realize - but I don't think the world at large quite realizes how amazing Adam is as a singer yet. And I'm not in any way biased. I would be saying this whether or not we were out touring with him. That's an incredible instrument he has. And he has the dedication to be using it and developing it just the way Freddie did. He realizes what he has and he's utterly dedicated in an very enjoyable way. He's great to be around cuz he's fun and he loves it. And there's no pretense. He's just been extraordinary for us. And I think he has made us young again. " podcastone.com/program?action=viewProgram&programID=658 starting around 45:00

Queen rock the Brisbane Entertainment Centre: review September 2, 2014 Natalie Bochenski Excerpt:When May asks the crowd "What do you think of the new man?", the applause is deafening.
Lambert has won them over, and launches into Dragon Attack, a song designed for strutting and flashing some style.
It is, however, immediately dwarfed by the epic brilliance of Who Wants to Live Forever. Here, Lambert's haunting vocal sends chills up the spine, and the performance possibly even betters the Mercury/May version used for the film Highlander. READ More

From houselady: Queen’s Roger Taylor Talks Recording New Music With Adam Lambert Posted on 10/22/2014 9:33:00 AM by Gary Graff www.wror.com/gmi/classicrocknews/2014/10/22/queens-roger-taylor-talks-recording-new-music-with-adam-lambert#sthash.p5SUwqy1.7nQPKVrB.dpufIs Queen + Adam Lambert headed towards new music? Drummer Roger Taylor thinks so -- or at least hopes so. Taylor tells us that the group's next move is a European tour in early 2015, but he and guitarist Brian May would also like to hit the studio with singer Lambert to see what could happen there: "I would hope so. I would hope it would, actually. I think it would be a very interesting experiment. It would be nice to just go in and see what came out. I don't know if it would be an album or anything, but I think it's too good a marriage to just let it go at touring. I'm sure we'll do something. His voice is so extraordinary, and it's a beautiful instrument. I think it would be nice. We better come up with some material..."
Taylor added that Lambert is also busy working on a solo album, while the drummer is preparing to release a pair of solo compilations -- the single-disc "Best" on October 27 and the box set "The Lot" on November 11 -- and the "Queen Forever" compilation, featuring three previously unreleased tracks, is due out November 11. Go to the link to hear the Soundcloud. I tried to embed it here, but no luck. Read more: adamtopia.com/thread/2641/10-adam-news-info-mentioning?page=8#ixzz3GvTkjr77

Queen songs are difficult to sing, but Adam does it easily. He sings even higher notes than Freddie. Freddie would think, "You bastard!" "And the voice is outrageously brilliant!" “The energy which we generate in an arena is I would say as strong as ever — and I think Freddie would agree with me,” May tells Neu Magazine. “I don’t think he would be upset with me saying that. I think the Queen show today that we do with Adam Lambert is the equal of anything we ever did.” Mercury, who passed in 1991 from AIDS-related complications, was a cornerstone in Queen’s initial success. Since his death, May and Roger Taylor have appeared with a number of guest vocalists — though Paul Rodgers and now Adam Lambert have enjoyed the longest stints. May admits, however, that he wasn’t seeking another frontman when Queen initially met Lambert during a joint appearance on American Idol in 2009. “I wasn’t looking for a lead singer,” May says, “but suddenly, here’s this guy who is very much like Freddie, in some ways. He’s very ebullient, he’s very camp, he’s very funny — and the voice is outrageously brilliant. And he can do Queen songs. He has the spirit for it. So we just said, ‘OK, we have to do this. Let’s give this a try.'” - See more at: somethingelsereviews.com/2014/12/02/queen-adam-lambert-freddie-mercury-eras/#sthash.zC13puhc.dpuf

Wow. You’re in for a major treat with this one, Glamberts. Adam Lambert and Queen have already been traveling all over the world for a while now, treating fans to a truly stellar live rock ‘n roll experience. And last night, the superstar pairing hit the stage on the X Factor UK live results show to perform Queen classic “Somebody To Love” — and basically brought the house down to its knees. Dressed in a stylish jacket and a chic black button-up, the talented Idol alum showed everyone exactly why the iconic rock group wanted him to step in as their vocalist on tour, as he pulled off some truly insane vocal acrobatics with his larger-than-life dramatic delivery (and those killer high notes!) and undeniable stage presence. Truly, Adam is a superstar: Even the notoriously tough-to-please Simon Cowell lept to his feet to cheer on Lambert at the end of the performance. That’s how it’s done! “Had a great time singing w @queenwillrock on @thexfactor tonight! Thanks for the warm welcome London!,” Adam wrote on Instagram following the performance. Check out the performance up top. And that’s not all for you, UK Glamberts! Following the performance, Queen and Adam Lambert announced that they’ll be performing a concert on New Year’s Eve in London near Big Ben, broadcasting live on BBC One. www.idolator.com/7572360/adam-lambert-and-queen-perform-somebody-to-love-on-x-factor-uk-watch
