I think Adam's cover of "Ordinary World" is hauntingly beautiful and it makes me circle back to the vibe and spirit of "Mad World", which has clicked with audiences since his first performance on Idol more than a decade ago. It was a rather understated performance back then, so I find it ironic that Adam describes himself lately as "not known to be subtle" at a time when he performs "Ordinary World", another rather pulled back and subtle song. (I do realize that he likes to create "drama" visually, both in his look as well as his performance style)

@lurleene, "Adam has a lot going on right now and he will be doing a lot of tv. And like all celebrities, when there is visibility, there will be comments. Good or bad. There is no getting away from that."
I agree, as we all know opinions and comments are a part of being in the public eye. I am not sure what Adam's strategy is about picking out the negative ones and responding to them, but I wish he would also acknowledge the overwhelmingly positive feedback. Somehow he seems to dwell a bit on the negative critique and I am sure he doesn't brush if off easily. May be it will be the catalyst to making changes. From what I see, many of the negative leaning comments usually include an underhanded compliment on his music and vocal talent and clearly not all of them are trolls.

Sizzling, I think it's human nature to obsess about the negative comments...for some reason, they're a lot more noticeable than the positive ones. I follow a lady sheep farmer on Youtube and she always says that she can have 500 positive comments and her eyes will zero in on that 1 negative one and she'll stew on it all day.

It was pop this and dance and disco that. I guess it was to appeal to the gay community or younger crowd. When actually there were some real heavyweight songs on those albums (some that were pop/rock and some rocked and some with great emotion). They were worthy Adam Lambert gems and could appeal to a much wider audience and possibly some Queen/QAL fans. But he hardly pushed them in interviews and few got to hear them. I wonder if they will try to get "Ordinary World" some radio play in the US. It would fit on several radio formats. But my guess is they will wait for something danceable, if at all. But it would be a shame to let this song die when it is so beautiful has been received so well. Fingers crossed anyway, lol.

Adam's performance was spectacular, and he threw in that glory note that I really wanted. The whole was fun, with the shoes thing and whipped cream game and Adam singing the Hannukah song. He was a great guest. Always is! Looked great, too. All trolls should be ignored, although I know it's hard sometimes.
