Nice ending of Ellen's thread:Saw on twitter Heidi Shin @heidimighty3 United States 17 years; Junior @ THS; Figure skater www.facebook.com/heidimighty3heidimighty3 Heidi Shin Watched Adam Lambert perform on the Ellen Show today. Never realized he is such an amazing singer! Downloading some of his music now (:4 minutes ago ETA: Awww... I hope she tells her friends, fellow skaters, etc. I replied to her tweet that I'm glad she "found" Adam! Since she is now downloading Adam's music I hope she makes it to the championship and use Adam's music to skate.... :D

Thread seems finished, but just want to add my feelings about the Ellen performance. I liked it SOOO much better than the Leno performance, for so many reasons. To me, Adam looked much better -- not sure he changed much about the hair and makeup but I liked both better than on Leno. And definately prefer the open collar shirt. Definitely. He looked great.
Compared to Leno, the Ellen performance seemed more confident, and to me his voice sounded better, the sound was better, the band was better, the arrangement or whatever changes Adam made in performance worked better for me. Fantastic performance.
This *is* Adam's time. It's going to be an amazing year!

Great performances both on Leno and on Ellen! I liked a lot the aggressive attack to the song on Leno, the narrower voice which sounded sharp to paint the cold and bitter in the beginning, the growing groove and deliberate interpretation to underline determination of his statement, the tender a cappella part all alone to show the feeling and the cathartic elevation in last part of the song to express the joy of having got the message out emphatically ending in vocal improvisation with the heavenly and strong voice. On the other hand his rendering on Ellen was a bit more gentle and sounded much better, the arch was rising all along the song but never got overboard. The Leno act was more desperate and maybe a bit overdramatic compared to the one on Ellen which conveyed sensitive, more narrative-like and more serene expression which actually in my opinion is more suited to the contents of the lyrics. However, I cannot forget the contrast between strong delivery and tender moment in the middle in Leno performance but I must admit that the Ellen version was more stylish and whole. Huge thanks to all that made this possible by posting links and uploading parts fo the show! I am very grateful that I get to listen (and watch) both performances and ecperience first hand the phenomenon that I have read about, namely that Adam is a superb performer, follows his instincts and the feel from the audience delivering us a new version of the song every time. That really is a quality seldom met. Belle, I loved reading this post. I think it's wonderful the way you observed and analyzed the details of each performance. I want to watch the vids again with your post in front of me so that I can see and hear the way you do!

I am so late to this thread but awesome performance. Adam didn't just take it to 11 -- he took it to 12.
I watched it with an Adam skeptic who really knows music (not a fan but thinks he's a great vocalist) -- he does not like the song (and thinks Adam deserves better materiel) and was not that impressed with the Leno performance. The Ellen performance blew him away.
Also the band was really awesome -- it is just working. I love many of the musicians who have backed up Adam but this band just works well with him.
