Difference in delivery. On Leno he attacked the song, singing with attitude and intensity. On Ellen he started off in a more introspective and caressing manner and built the intensity throughout. I found the Leno version more declarative and this one more plaintive and pleading. Different but both valid interpretations IMHO. To me the song embodies both the declaration of commitment and the pleading with the other not to give up or leave. The Leno version emphasized the declaration whereas the Ellen version emphasized the pleading. LOVED what you wrote here, rihannsu! I loved both performances. I found Adam's expression at the beginning of the new performance very intense and less nervous than he was at the beginning of Jay's show. I love the arrangement of the song for live performance with the heavy drumming. Isaac rocked. I could tell at about 2:55 that Adam was about to cut loose with the vocals and then wow, he did. I teared up starting at 3:14 and was in tears the rest of the performance. He killed the ending. So much style and passion. So much SOUL. Wish to the universe: Grammy tribute to Aretha Franklin, Adam duet with Mary J. Blige. With all due respect to Mary J's talent I would support a duet with Mary J. ONLY if she shows some ability to SHARE rather than walk all over her duet partner. Most U2 fans are still PISSED as hell that when she came on stage with U2 at THEIR concert she literally walked all over him vocally and physically to the point where he had to grab her hand at one point to keep it out of his face. Plus when she did the One duet with Elliot on Idol she allowed Elliot only a few lines of the song and trounced all over him as well. She is NOT a generous duet partner.

I didn't know that. I apologize and withdraw the dream from the universe. All I meant was that Adam is a great soul singer.

Aww, Sauli was uncomfortable with the relationship question, he was trying to squirm down in his seat. :( He's soo like Adam, lol.

I'll never forget that duet with Elliott. I remember someone at TWoP saying that they expected that any minute Mary J. was going to pick Elliott up and twirl him around her head. I have no doubt that Adam could blow her off the stage vocally, but even her movements are designed to deflect attention from the other singer. I have to wait to see it on TV, but I think I'm going to like the performance on Ellen even more than the one on Jay. I often find that the mix on Jay's show lets the background music compete a little bit too much with the vocals. The vocals sounded more upfront in the Ellen clip.

OMG!Adam totally rock out the whole song out of the universe. This version is so different from Leno. It's more intense to me musically. Isacc and Hastings are terrific but I can not hear too much about the guitars. Well, I love both performances and the wailing.

directlyrics Music News WATCH: Adam Lambert Visits 'The Ellen Show' @adamlambert www.directlyrics.com/adam-lambert-visits-the-ellen-show-news.html10 minutes ago Singer Adam Lambert, one of the most successful 'American Idol' alumni ever, stopped by 'The Ellen Show' on Thursday (January 19th) to promote his much-anticipated sophomore album "Trespassing" which will be hitting stores stateside next March 20th! The 29-year-old pop/rock star from Indianapolis first treated viewers with a new performance of his Dr-Luke-produced single "Better Than I Know Myself", before sitting on Ellen's cute red couch to discuss "Trespassing", explaining the different music styles the record will include (uptempos, and ballads), his upcoming b'day, being an Aquarius, and pretty much most of the conversation revolved around THE topic everyone wanted to hear of. Adam Lambert and his boyfriend's bar brawl in Finland earlier this year. Watch the full interview below!

Sorry, didn't mean it was a bad DREAM just the reality would probably not live up to the idea given her history. As I said I have respect for Mary J's talent and yes vocally it could be fantastic, as would a collab with Fantasia in my opinion but unfortunately given what I've seen of Mary J's attitude I wouldn't want to see Adam walked all over. He, like Bono would be too gracious to do anything about it. So how about we DREAM that Mary J has as much respect for Adam's talent as he would have for hers. ;D
