So, Adam was busy prepping for the Fairyland gig just before the European tour! May 2022.Thanks to pattihum for asking the question... from someone who might answer . Thank you Cody! The three genuinely showed an appreciation for his ability to act, and his spirit while working together. AHHH...they noticed a change in energy when he had gone. (Ball of fun, ball of relief, calm/chilled, could really tell when he was gone) Adam...the ray of sunshine...as his mom said, and... as we understand him to be. So very happy for the Fairyland team that interest has been shown in the film for a future "life" beyond Sundance!

I feel the same way. Adam brings an exciting intensity to whatever he is doing. But at the same time he is warm and friendly and comfortable and honest. It's clear that the cast members liked working with him. I hope this indie film breaks through and gets released in various ways. Adam certainly has a huge fan base that will run to it. Best case scenario will be if Adam gets attention that will lead to more acting roles.

The last "Say Gay" concert was May 6. 2022 in Atlanta. We know Adam rushed back to LA right after the concert. The 1st QAL concert was May 27 in Belfast, with I assume a week of rehearsals before. That leave less than 2 weeks in the middle of May for Adam to he involved with the filming of the movie. Wow - tight schedule!

exerpt from page six interview pagesix.com/2023/01/23/adam-lambert-abc-threatened-lawsuit-after-2009-amas-same-sex-kiss/ ….. guess that part will air Lambert was honored by Cody Fern, who co-stars with him in “Fairyland,” a 1970s to 1980s coming-of-age drama about a teen girl with gay fathers. The duo later celebrated their big debut at Tao Park City. The “Ghost Town” crooner told Page Six at the film’s premiere party at the Zooz Cinema Center sponsored by Fisker on Friday that he found the role “hilarious” because he had to film himself “doing [fake] blow in the morning. Guess that might be part of what Scoot was saying ….“ he it knocked out of the park”

twitter.com/Queerty/status/1617583192906600448 EXCLUSIVE: Adam Lambert elaborates on THAT comment about the rumored George Michael biopicLast week, musician Adam Lambert made headlines with his comment on the rumor that The White Lotus: Sicily star Theo James would play the legendary George Michael in a biopic. And when we say “comment,” we do literally mean a comment: On The Advocate‘s Instagram post about the rumored casting, the American Idol alum wrote, “Yay another straight man playing a gay icon.” With eight simple words—and a well-appointed eyeroll emoji—Lambert caused quite a stir, reigniting the age-old debate over whether or not straight actors should be able to play gay roles. Over the weekend, the star was at the Sundance Film Festival in support of his role in the sweet gay period piece Fairyland (his feature film debut!), which happens to star a straight actor—Halt And Catch Fire’s Scoot McNairy—in a gay role. After the film’s premiere, Queerty caught up with Lambert on the streets of Park City, Utah, and he was more than happy to elaborate on the attention-grabbing comment, clarifying that, no, he doesn’t think straight actors shouldn’t be allowed to play gay—it’s a bit more nuanced than that. twitter.com/RollingStone/status/1617527586405466113Adam Lambert Says Early Career Homophobia Inspired Him to ‘Be as Gay as I F-cking Can Be’ "Visibility is so powerful," Lambert said while accepting an award at the 2023 Creative Coalition Spotlight Initiative Gala
ACCEPTING AN AWARD at the 2023 Creative Coalition Spotlight Initiative Gala, Adam Lambert described the version of the entertainment industry he was ushered into post-American Idol as the “Wild West,” a space in which there was so little room made for LGBTQ artists and creators that his own existence in it was all the more weighted. Inspired, rather than crushed, under the weight of responsibility, the musician made a vow to “be as gay as I fucking can be, and be flamboyant and be wild.” “If it gets me into trouble, it gets me in trouble,” Lambert added, according to Entertainment Weekly. “But I’m not going to back down from it.” During his speech, he recalled an early instance in which it did get him in trouble: his 2009 American Music Awards performance. “I did the kind of performance I had seen since I was a teenager,” he remembered. “I was kind of sexy and had dancers on stage, and I did a couple of suggestive moves with a couple of dancers, and an impromptu kiss with my bass player. I was feeling it.” “Well, I got off stage, and I got in trouble,” he continued. “The network was like, ‘How dare you?’ They banned me for a while. They threatened me with a lawsuit. It was like, ‘Oh, okay, that’s where we’re at.’ I didn’t know. I’d been in a bubble in LA amongst artists, weirdos, and I didn’t realize that that kind of thing would ruffle feathers the way it did.” But then again, Lambert hadn’t realized how far he could get on the strength of his talent alone, either. “When I went to audition, I was like, ‘Man, I don’t think they’re going to take me. I’m the gay guy. This is a pipe dream,'” he recalled of auditioning for American Idol. “And I made it to the final, and I couldn’t believe it. I mean, I had no idea that it would go that long. And then, once I got off the show, I got signed a record contract. There was an Entertainment Weekly article that was like, ‘Oh, this guy’s exciting, and it may or not be because he might be gay.’ And I was like, ‘Might be?!'” More.. www.rollingstone.com/music/music-news/adam-lambert-early-career-homophobia-visibility-2023-creative-coalition-spotlight-initiative-gala-1234666161/
