I found this on www.thefreedictionary.com/corker1. Slang a. something or somebody striking or outstanding "that was a corker of a joke" b. an irrefutable remark that puts an end to discussion Off to find more "translations"

Yeah, anyone, what does "a bit of a corker" mean. It seemed like a positive article, but in my mind I think "clunker" when I hear "corker." Help, UK people! It is positive...think of the song lyric "I don't pop my cork for just anyone..."...it means champagne celebration pop the cork worthy.... sort of ... it is good... eta....my British heritage comes in handy periodically...hehe

"a bit of a corker" means it's great, remarkable, excellent, better than the rest, astounding, striking, etc. it's kind of old timey british slang, used to be used for a woman you liked

Can someone explain to me what does "It's a bit of a corker" mean? From the MTV UK article. As "A Briton" - it is something we say in the UK meaning something smashing or in the case of a girl "she's a corker". It's very dated, sort of 1940's on ! Abriton

ITA and I thought King Joe was supposed to be all up on this? Why does it have to be so damn difficult for an excellent, radio-ready song from an incredible artist, backed by a major label, with a proven hit-maker pedigree (Claude, Dr. Luke) to get fucking play while we are tortured with the same damn songs over and over? IDK but it is diheartening to put it mildly. If this thign doesn't catch on or takes as long as WWFM then I call bs on Joe R being "the king". Maybe he's saving his kingliness for when NAL's single drops. :(
