Yesterday I had a scary thought. You know how Michael Slezak constantly laments the preliminary elimination of various good singers from past seasons, like Jesse Langseth. Having just watched a rerun of The Big Bang Theory where the existence of parallel universes with multiple Sheldons was discussed, I tried to imagine a parallel universe where Adam did not make it into the Finals.... THE HORROR! Could you imagine THAT?
From what Adam has told in interviews about the early rounds, it was really a matter of the producers wanting his type than his abilities to sing. So it was quite the possibility...
Makes me shiver just thinking about it!
