tigerlily, you are right. Toby is the typical passive-aggressive Kris fan. There was just a little too much excitement over the cover, his jealousy came out, and he had to dump a bucket of ice water on the Adam fan base. He is not in Adam's corner.

I am seriously skeptical of Toby's 'info' about sales and the label's reaction. First of all, I don't think a label would ever let it get out if they WERE disappointed in sales numbers. Secondly, I think that BTIKM is doing quite well considering the album release is months away and real push from the label has only started this past week with interviews and two performances. Before that, it was mostly fan news and many probably got the free download with the order of the album. Yes, they released it to the stations earlier, but with very minimal fanfare. Official adds are not until this week. Let's wait a few weeks before pronouncing it a "dud." Oh, and one more thing. It was released during the holidays where radio stations were playing holiday music and year end round up lists.
So, my uneducated opinion is that BTIKM is doing just fine, and will do much better in the coming month. So Toby, whoever you are, bite me.

Gah, I want to go to sleep with happy feelings. I was on such a high earlier, but this Toby guy is making me soo angry!! I'm seriously upset! Way too much good stuff going on to let anyone who doesn't know anything upset you. I don't think I could even work up a mad at Ryan S today. All irrelevant. Adam's cover is magnificent, the uncut ETCanada interview is great, Lyndsey, along with everyone else, is stunned by the awesomeness of AFL and his new music, and Adam is in love with a firecracker!! It just doesn't get much better than that.

Yes! That pissed me off too! Where has he gotten this info that the label is disappointed with the sales? Is he just stirring the pot? And, although he thinks he is giving "us" a shout out, I think he ought to aim for more broad appeal of his listening audience if he is that excited about promoting Adam. eta: some people who are "too cool for school" will be turned off by the "Glamberts". Think Adam said he is ready for us to get a new name, way back last summer. He suggested "outlaws of Lambert" or something. We need to move past Glam since our fearless leader has. Next! If you read his tweets, he's always acting like he's got super ~sekrit info he's letting us in on. YAWN. I think Toby Knapp is a passive-aggressive hit-whore. How can he compliment the fans while within the same few paragraphs say we steal A's music? Yuck. I do not want to pay any more attention to him. If Adam does talk to him, I'll ask someone else to tell me what he says. I've never followed him, and he is in the douchey dj column for me, just like Moser is in the douchey reviewer column. I don't care whether they do occasionally praise. They don't do it from a place of honesty or love. ADIOS, YOU'RE A GHOST, YOU'RE A VAPOR little man (men). Exactly - I am ignoring him (not that I ever followed him) :

I agree, there is NO WAY anyone at a label would share info about being disappointed in how a single ( and one that they are currently trying to sell to radio and the public) is doing. They are not going to share such info with a radom DJ, and if for some reason they did, they would certainly tell random DJ not to spill.

What a roller coaster! I absolutely love the album cover! So perfect. Toby is not an Adam supporter. Not really. To include that information, whether it's true or not, was not necessary. Nor was it at all helpful to Adam (or RCA for that matter) Especially in an article that looked to be celebrating the unveiling of the cover. He is a Kris fan all the way. I so agree.. well put! Maybe someone should tell him why you're all unfollowing? Could he be that clueless? :

I can't imagine anyone at RCA saying that to a PD/DJ. And if they did have and off-the-record conversation, for him to blog about it would be unforgivable. No matter what, I cannot imagine his "friends" at RCA would be pleased that random, p-a "scoop." Really uncalled for, IMO.

I am glad this is a near-dead thread, because I don't believe in raining on the great fucking parade that this day was...but a few A fans got into a convo w/ Toby and one tweeted this (and why she said "Thx for your help" I don't know...I only saw bs on his part.) @lilly64 @tkradio Thx for ur help, 1 PD in Buffalo 2day shared on Twiitter she didn't like it and knew several other programmers who don't like it. So, Buffalo peeps--what PD was this? And if lilly64 is correct, oh, well, maybe it won't play in Buffalo. And I'm not stepping a foot in the #s thread, because I DO NOT intend to feel any angst whatsoever about Era2. I'm going to FEEL the good stuff and say oh, well to the not-so-good. We all choose our own reality, and I'm choosing the positive option. Bob knows, we have good reason to be excited right now! But, for a couple people earlier who said they're uncomfortable with all the great reviews, there ya go. Not everyone loves BTIKM. A little reality check. But surely that's not unexpected? And so what? Tresspassing Tour 2012 is gonna make us laugh cry dance and pant! AND I CAN'T WAIT! ;D
