I think dating services like Raya make a lot of sense to the rich and famous. There appear to be a number of safeguards built into it. I know some celebrities manage to meet people the old-fashioned way, but the world is not always a safe place. Adam is such a social person. I can understand him using Raya to look for someone who's been screened and accepted into the group. Even in the old days, "pre-media," people looking for potential dating partners tended to concentrate on groups of potential dates with certain things in common. It's just human nature. Nice that Adam found Oliver. They seem to get along just fine.
Oliver's work is still a mystery. He doesn't seem like the sit-around-and-do-nothing type. And following Adam around is great, but it seems to me Oliver has more to him than that. But what do I know? They seem to have worked it out.

Uhmm, I don't know how US visas work. I don't even remember how long he has been in the US. I knew Oliver he went home to finish school, but I don't remember when he came back and stayed. He did travel to a couple of the Queen shows, and returned. I believe you can stay for about 6 months on a tourist visa and then re-enter. But, it seems he has been here longer without leaving. Visa's confuse me. A friend has a significant other with a green card and it is back and forth every 6 months. Don't know if that is different. Wondering if he has something instead of a tourist visa, if that's possible. I think you need to re-apply, maybe every 10 years. The normal tourist visum (ESTA) allows you to stay for 3 months in the US. There’s also another tourist visa that lasts 6 months, but that’s not as easy to get as ESTA, but a possibility. However, Oliver has been in the US since early August 2022. That’s more than 6 months, without leaving the country. Out of curiosity I checked the different kinds of visas for the US some time ago. I can’t find any visa that fits Oliver’s situation. I suspect that he might be waiting for some kind of permanent visa (work visa? greencard?) and can’t leave the country until the visa process is finished. But it’s all just my wild guesses.

Bringing this over, just to help keep things real. I have a feeling that Adam’s fans may have taken Shoshanna’s advice too literally and assumed that buying the physical album alone is enough. Of course it’s not only the fans who support the streaming numbers. Buying the album is by far the best a fan can do. If you aren’t a rapper or some huuuuuge superstar, you have no chance in streaming, especially in the US it’s extreme. Last week I looked through the Billboard Top 200. I only found about a handful new entrances. The rest is old, often Greatest Hits. All these songs by Queen, AbBA, Michael Jackson ect, which are constantly played on the radio and are on every second playlist played everywhere are on there. New artists and albums hardly stand any chance. And I don’t think Adam’s fandom is big enough to make a real difference in streaming. He would need millions of streams. By the way: In the charts of all the other countries that I checked, it’s still new entries, that dominate the Top 20. Very different from the US. So I decided to just ignore the Billboard 200. For me it’s no longer a chart to value a new album. Other than being very happy, that the album made the chart at all!

Bringing this over, just to help keep things real. I have a feeling that Adam’s fans may have taken Shoshanna’s advice too literally and assumed that buying the physical album alone is enough. Of course it’s not only the fans who support the streaming numbers. I bought several albums. Stream on Spotify almost 24/7. Play the videos. But I never thought it would be enough to move big numbers with just his fans in the US. If you are not on the radio or your label fails to get you on the big streaming playlists, or you are a rapper, exposure is limited. It has been that way for a long time. And stores no longer carry CDs for impulse buying after a tv show performance unless you are one of the big names. Maybe they will have a different strategy when he releases original material or maybe not and they are concentrating on other parts of his career. Would I like to see him get on the radio (he would not need to to top the charts in non-pop genres) and have a chance at some award love in the US, his home country? Yes, lol. But either way, I agree with what you said yesterday. He is doing fine. He made the BB200 (not easy) and is doing well with his concerts and tv and other projects.

It’s also possible that he’s left the country and returned without fans being aware of it. I don’t think he’d have to go all the way back to Denmark. But I don’t know all the rules. I think that is an option. Although you can’t do that too often and I believe a hop over to Canada isn’t sufficient. Since Oliver had traveled back and forth to the US quite often in the past 1,5 years, I would be careful to do that. If you enter the US as a tourist too often, there might be questions and the entry could get denied. To add: If Oliver was currently on a limited tourist visa in the US, I would have expected him to go to Denmark and visit his family now, while Adam has been on promo tour and away from home. But instead Oliver has stayed in LA.

@lurleene and nightowl, I appreciate your feedback and your take on things. I don't disagree. Just thought that every bit of information helps. I am still very happy that Adam charted well on album sales overall and that he made the BB200

Streaming non-stop on Spotify, playing the videos imbedded in articles and on youtube daily, and also waiting for my orders to arrive. Adam is everywhere these days and it's so nice to see him on TV and listen to his interviews! He looks and sounds SO FINE and HAPPY!!! He seemed so relaxed and jovial during the Ritz Conversation... if only the audio didn't have an echo or distortion making it difficult to understand. Or was it only me? Would love to hear another recording of it.
