Yes a very good interview. I think when Adam presents himself with little or no makeup, you are more likely to get serious questions and conversation. When he wears heavy eye makeup, I think it makes it harder for them or him to ignore. It is the same with those platform shoes, either he or the host will focus on them. It feels awkward because with so little time to promote your music or to talk about what you are doing, time is spent talking about shoes, lol. Even after that stunning performance of Chandelier on AGT, the focus was directed right to the shoes as if we could not all see them. But Simon was wonderful when he stated that Adam was one of the nicest people in show business. That comment along with Adam's vocally beautiful performance were the stars of that show.  

But it does happen sometimes. When he did the remote interview on Kelly Clarkson show, she could not help but mention the makeup as it was front and center. And when he brought out those big platform boots to show her, I doubt she had planned ahead of time to discuss them, lol. It doesn't always happen but the boots and makup do become focal points in some cases when either he or they bring them up. Not a criticism cause I think the focus is where he want it to be but it is hard to miss when it does happen.
