LOL, Gelly at that "things we've learned from Adam Lambert" pie chart! (...and the katycake carrot gif, too!) These two things reminded me...I tried to make a short clip of this vid from 2:00 to 2:40 mark and failed miserably--just learning about my laptop movie making sw and not savvy enough yet. If anyone who is tech-savvy has any free time (LOL) could you make this clip and pm it to me? 2:00 to 2:40 www.youtube.com/watch?v=U5uBO-vj0b0And I'd be interested to know how long it takes to do this once you become familiar with the process. I have had Windows Movie Maker, but since laptop crashed, can't figure out how to make it work. Any suggestions on free vid-making programs? and do they all require DL of the program? I really am a tech-novice, but I want to learn.  AND--I did my squeeing over the BTS vid verrrry early this morning (yawns) and Friday suits me fine for new release date, as I wanna be able to re-watch till I'm sated! BUT--I haven't berted yet about that PressParty review ;D...so....  Real Player has a movie trim that is easy enough for me to use and I'm a dummy about these things. Our EU people, which city would Adam be flying to today for this performance? I can not find the Austrian town on any maps! The nearest airport is Salzburg but even tho it is called an international airport it is a tiny one. I don't think London Heathrow - Salzburg is even possible. The next big city would be Munich, drive by car to Zell am See approx. 1.5 hours. So, he could fly to Munich. Or for example Frankfurt. From there he could fly to Salzburg or - again - Munich. His first radio appearance on Monday is north of Munich, so maybe that'll be where he's staying. In a nutshell: We know nothing Sounds like Munich is the best possibility considering Monday's schedule. |

The video will be out soon, and the coordinated effort to ramp up awareness of the single coincides with a push by RCA records, Lambert's label, for US POP RADIO airplay. Fans who want their local stations are reminded to do the following when asking for support from local pop stations... 1) Make sure you live in the area the station serves. Stations in Florida know when fans from Denmark request, and fans from Ohio know when fans from Texas are hitting them up with requests for the song! And, as such, they don't really count because they're not from the area the station serves! If you're from a certain area, make sure you tell 'em that up front! 2) Buy the single! Soundscan records everything, sales figures are important tools for record companies as they work radio station programmers to play the song. 3) Blow up local station FACEBOOK and TWITTER FEEDS with requests... and engage. Post a post on the local FACEBOOK page. Then, have friends like, and comment. This helps in two ways: one - programmers see the conversation and two, it helps the radio station meet goals for engagement and likes, and interactions, which they no doubt have as the monetization of the medium continues to evolve. 4) Be polite and courteous. Understand there are many factors involved in airplay decisions, not just requests. The quickest way to tank an artist on a radio station is to, bluntly, be a douche-bag about your desires.
