lurleene, believe it or not, I do remember that red carpet fashion thing that Adam did. I think the dress that Miranda had on had a weird back to it or something. It wasn't very attractive. I think her husband (who is he again?) didn't appreciate Adam's critique. I don't follow Miranda, but I'm glad you filled in the rest of the story about her support of the LGBTQ community, etc. I like learning about big stars I don't follow and finding out that they're good people behind the scenes. The Muffin Man phenomenon is beyond belief. I love it! It's world-wide and completely goofy. And lots of people have discovered him because of it and found out that he has a great sense of humor AND the uncanny ability to sound just like Cher. LOL Miranda's husband at the time was Blake Shelton. Her fans were expressing their hope that Blake would go on the attack against Adam but he didn't. Good thing cause when Adam performed Girl Crush on CMT, Blake and Luke Bryan were there. Also when Adam performed Believe on The Voice, of course Blake was married to Gwen Stefani at that time. When Adam was chatting with Gwen, Blake walked over to join them. I don't think Adam has ever met Miranda tho. Blake, Adam and Miranda performed on the Elvis special but they filmed on different days. |

I am just curious, is Adam the only contestant on AI that thanked the band, arrangers, etc.? I haven't watched it since Adam's season (guess why), except for times when he was on. I am watching the episode from last weekend and I have noticed not one contestant mentions anyone else on the whole AI team. No thanks to the band, etc. Have I missed something? Is Adam the ONLY one?

I assume the on-stage thanking came from Adam's theater experience, where you thank those around you when the show is over. It's a classy thing to do. |

I went back and watched David Cook and Kris Allen's performance duet from the last season on Idol (they invited several groups of Idols back for duets but not singing their own material). D & K stopped singing and looked at one another and smiled then talked to Ryan. Adam nodded and mouthed thank you to the crowd and judges, nodded and mouthed a thank you again as he looked around and waved to the crowd. Talked to Ryan and acknowledged the contestants and waved to them when he left the stage, lol. |

Re Adam’s recent performance of ICSTRain on AI:
It was terrific that the camera continued to film Adam as he was exiting the stage after his conversation with Ryan. His wave to the back up singers/other people —I perceived to be a thank you acknowledgement.
The official youtube cuts out just before that happens, but it is sure on my tv recording of that performance as his wave caught my attention that night! I hope others noted that in their memory banks too.
A Sincere and Good man … that Adam Lambert!

In musical theater it is customary during curtain calls to include the orchestra in the bows. Always. I assumed that Adam's acknowledgment of the musicians backing him was part of his basic training from childhood on. After all, the singers and dancers are nothing without the accompanying musicians.
