Last year for my ‘golden birthday’, all of you gave me the best birthday present I could ever ask for by donating $323,803 to bring clean water to over 16,000 people! It felt so amazing to have my fans, friends and family do something so inspiring for me for my birthday.
I've been asked what I would like people to do this year for me, for my 30th birthday. I'd like to invite you to join me, and "give up" your birthday this year. What exactly does that mean? It means that when people ask you what you want for your birthday, you tell them that you'd like clean water, and ask them to donate money, 100% of which will directly fund water projects. Turning 30 is a big deal, and Adam fans have gotten very creative with birthday wishes for their favorite artist. Youtube videos, virtual cards, charity donations, ice-cream flavored tweets… These are all very nice, but I wanted to give Adam some presents that he might find useful all year long. After searching high and low, I've come up with a few items I think he might like:
Jock-Shocker—this device delivers a jolt of
Cray-pellant—Emits a sound inaudible to most humans, but sends stans with serious boundary issues running for the hills. FAA-approved for airport use.
Black-Out Markers—You know how sometimes you find the perfect shirt or pair of pants or awesome boots, but they don't come in your favorite color? Adam can avoid this tragedy with these magical markers, which instantly dye any item of apparel into a flattering shade of black. (Disclaimer: ineffective on aqua board shorts).
Magic Carpet—Yep, just like it sounds—a little rug that will whisk Adam out of any place he doesn’t really want to be, or else whisk a far-away loved one to Adam's side at the speed of light. Better than frequent-flyer miles, and a sure anecdote to lonely nights.

Okay, so those are some pretty nice gifts, if I do say so myself. Unfortunately, I don't actually have the power to manufacture these items. :-/
So instead, I'll give to Adam what I do have in my power to offer—my love, my support, my admiration, and my heartfelt wish that he will have a year full of joy and adventure.

The downside is that it's 4 hours long, between 8 pm and 12 pm Chicago time. But maybe focusing on the very beginning would work?
Note: You can also request at CHUM-FM and Virgin stations in Canada, but the Canadian fans have it covered. My recommendation is that US fans focus on the US where requests are more urgently needed.
