Adam certainly GLOWED when he was onstage with xtina!
This just popped up on my FB. Since it's Pride month and David appeared on American Idol on Season 7 right before Adam and he just came out recently, thought I would share this:

"There are a lot of things I do to better my mental health – exercising, listening to music, singing, walking in nature, focusing on deep breathing.

Taking care of ourselves requires nurturing several aspects of our lives to have a balance. Take care of your body, take care of your social life. Give yourself quiet time every now and then. Put effort into working towards aspirations and goals, and also have fun! Don’t forget we all need some help talking to others too. If you don’t have a good environment around you to do that, check out BetterHelp like I did.

I also have some mixed feelings about Adam pairing with Christina...but...apart from it being Adam's business and choice...I cannot think of another pairing that could potentially create a similar buzz, and mutual advantage, such as that achieved by the pairing of Adam and Queen. Beyoncé and Mariah...not at all... Celine/Adelle...wrong vibe let alone ...the rest simply cannot challenge him let alone keep up. The only other power voice that I can think of is Kelly but she just does not seem right but she can belt.... Gaga is great but she does not do the power thing. Rihanna perhaps but she has shown no interest, in even performing much lately. Pink does not power and has also shown no interest. Katy has always been supportive but she can't power sing either. The duet with Beverly was lovely but because Adam holds back. If Adam and Christina did a full big tour [Christina would still headline but it would be an 'and' not a 'opened by'...it could grow like QAL did, and be beneficial to both. For that reason....I think it would be a good thing...exciting in a way that I do not see any other pairing being....perhaps I am missing someone?? There are great singers out there but none that also can draw the audience those voices deserve..... Can you imagine the spectacular show those two could put on!! |

xtina plays pretty much the same size venues (now) that Adam plays. She is not big like she was in the past. No radio presence and no arena tours. Other than a one off here and there, I just don't see her being as beneficial to Adam as an iconic rock band like Queen. No where close. Maybe at the beginning of his career, she would have been a help. But two 40 somethings teaming up and trying to be pop darlings (that pop radio would ignore now) seems a miss and a step backward, imo. And Adam has certainly been more in demand for high profile events lately in his career, with or without Queen, than Xtina. But my guess is if he got the chance to team with any of the divas, he would take it. Hopefully he will be happy with the occasional diva duets that he has done over the years. I certainly enjoyed this performance but not excited about him opening for her or any other, lol. But he will do as he pleases. HA.

I remember Adam saying he was supposed to be opening for Xtina on that (cancelled) tour. I have a feeling that would be the only option she'd agree to tour with someone.

You could be right...I haven't gone looking at the size of venues etc...but Queen is not 'on the radio' other on oldies rock and that is never with Adam. I was thinking more of the kind of draw they could be as a pairing...in concerts. Queen was not bringing int he crowds they do now...because of Adam. But Adam needs Queen for those big crowds too. Ditto Christina...I was just thinking out loud that just as 'system's' theory of the total being bigger than the sum of the parts could work for she and Adam...just as it worked for QAL. Radio is not the factor it used to be and the money for musicians these days is in the touring. Some of the greatest touring acts and biggest money draws have almost no radio presence...they are mostly legacy rock acts with a sprinkling of current acts like Harry or Gaga..... I think the radio train has pretty much left the station for both of them but that does not have to be a big problem. I am just day dreaming...I have never been a big Christina fan but I am a fan of her level of talent, even if her miasma style leaves me cold. Her voice is phenomenal....and the two together could do really great stuff....I would go to their show in a NY minute... |

Adam nor Xtina are classic rock acts, with massive hits, who could play arenas and stadiums without radio or current hits. But I guess we will see if they decide to team up and give it a try.
