I live on Long Island. Everyone goes to Fire Island. It's a really nice ferry ride. It's beautiful there, and very relaxing. There are great little shops there, restaurants, and of course it's surrounded by beaches. Boats can take you to different parts of Fire Island. There are great summer homes there, and around 300 people live there year round, but if you have a massive medical emergency during the off months I wouldn't want to be living there. If there is a really bad storm or a hurricane I wouldn't want to be stuck there. It's about 32 miles long and extremely narrow. No cars are allowed. People ride bikes, use golf carts, and pull kids around in wagons. Of course it has a fabulous gay history, which still exists today, especially in Cherry Grove and the Fire Island Pines. I haven't been there in a few years, but I love it there.

Same song but different lyrics in the verses. Noel wrote a few different variations of the song The original version wasn’t allowed. The one we are most familiar with was adapted for a female singer.
