Oh boy. I understand any TV exposure is a coveted event but this show is absolutely idiotic imo. Sorry...

Does anyone know if The Voice did anything for anyone ever? Same question for the recent AI seasons. I think I know the AI outcomes from the first 10 years... Many of the recent contestants have gone on to have careers playing music, but no one has become a "pop star" for quite a while now. I can think of two contestants who tried out but didn't get very far who are big in Christian and country music. Maybe a contestant has done well in R&B? thanks. Makes sense. And good to know some contestants even from the recent seasons find a way to be successful.

Gabby Barrett was on the 1st season of ABC Idol. She came in 3rd place and has done very well in country. A few #1 country hits and a album that did well and a few country award wins. But she is the only one who has really done really well from ABC Idol. And The Voice produced a country artist, Morgan Wallen. who did not go far on the show so they have not really claimed him, lol. But he later was signed to a big country label and his three albums have done very well. 2 albums staying at the top of the BB200 charts for 7 to 12 weeks and several country hits. I really don't know why The Voice has not been singing his praises at the top of their lungs. HA.

It is odd that The Voice has never produced a big pop star. I've never watched it, but I've heard for years that they never get a big star from that show. And it's the same for Idol in more recent years. Country is a whole different thing. They tend to let new people into the fold and give them supprt. Not so much with pop. Pop is much more cutthroat, IMO. Sometimes I think the whole singing competition show genre has run its course. But I guess those shows still get decent ratings.
As for collabs and duets, it's all about the hierarchy. The artist on top doesn't really need the collab. The lower-lever artist does. The top artist wants to maintain his or her solo status. Staying solo is a wise strategy. It sets you apart and gives you power. Adam is kind of hovering somewhere in between.
Looking forward to tonight's Watch What Happens Live! Got it on DVR.

Its usually with a group of members of the public and most are great characters who have become stars in their own right over the years. I’d never seen a ‘celebrity’ version before and have to say, it was dire. I honestly couldn’t watch it all, even for Adam!
