Love that sneak peek! The video seems really intriguing and different.  A little OT, but I was just listening to that old interview where Jake Shears talks about kissing Adam, and that made me wonder that if the US radio really is as homophobic as it might seem to be (I wouldn't know), does Scissor Sisters then get played a lot there? Sadly despite the fact that the Scissor Sisters have had some crazy popular hits in the UK and Australia and a bunch of other countries around the world, they never really made a dent in US radio. I'm not sure if it was due to the institutionalized homophobia of US radio, or if their music wasn't the right fit for the market at the time, or possibly both. I haven't been as crazy about their new material as I was for their older stuff, but I really think I Don't Feel Like Dancin should have been a smash hit. |

I am FLUMMOXED by that clip.
Of course, Adam looks better looking than ever, and he's all domestic bliss there, but -really - WTF with the oxygen tanks and huge silver hose/tubes? WHAAAA??????? (I'd honestly thought those wouldn't be in the real mv . . . that they were there in "RL" only to help produce a fog effect or something. But, what? They play a part in the story or narrative?
I repeat, WTF. (Also, do you think Adam really meditates in RL in the lotus position and everything? In the clip, he looks like he's suppressing a laugh there.)
Good grief, what is he, captive on an alien space ship and that's his "cage"?

I think most ppl are thinking along the lines of a symbiotic relationship between the light and dark side of Adam suggested by the shared oxygen supply. Or that the light side of Adam is captive to the dark side in the mv, and that they somehow reach a more sustainable relationship later on in the mv. Either way, I'm happy with what I've seen in the snippet. |
