Love that little girl singing Muffin Man! Who would have thought that performance would be so much fun for so many people!
Adam really had a "rant day" today. He is very passionate and isn't afraid to speak out. I have always accepted the fact that some people will never be accepting of the LGBTQ community, no matter what. It's when I see actual legislation that restricts the rights of that community that I really get confused and upset. Adam can get really assertive and passionate with his comments on all this, but he isn't afraid to be heard. In the end, that's a good thing.

Well, Adam certainly is on a roll, and good for him. He has said he likes a healthy debate! He "puts his money where his mouth is" as they used to say. I believe he is iconic. You hear about George Michael and Freddie Mercury. No one that I have seen has done more to bring understanding and awareness to the LGBTQIA community than Adam. He has the talent that gets him noticed and then he uses his platform. Bravo, Adam!

Yes, I don't understand in the USA in 2023 how they can actually pass legislation that restricts the rights of anyone. We are really moving backward. Unfortunately, bigots will be bigots unless they learn to be better. But to pass legislation is really crossing the line.

There's a lot of division. I used to be involved in Republican politics but left when the 2016 primary was determined. (Trying hard not to be overtly political.) I belong to a liberal main-stream Protestant Episcopalian tradition which welcomes LGBTQ persons and ordains gay priests. Former friends (from 2o years ago in a Prog Rock community) have now labeled me a "Demoncrat" (literally). I was shocked when the non-partisan local school board elections were divided on the issue of books in the library. And the "conservative save the children" group was endorsed by a political committee. It was not something I expected in my hometown. Thankfully, I don't have any divisions in the immediate family for politics and policies. I am not surprised at Adam's comments today. The landscape has changed since 2009. In some cases for the positive and others for regressing negatively.
