I think that talking about all this is beneficial in the long run. We've all learned a lot since Adam came on the scene. I know I have. Just one question. Do many (or any) other high-profile gay couples do a lot of public socializing like Adam and Oliver do? I don't follow anyone else, so I don't know. I can't think of another high-end gay celebrity, male or female, who does this. Adam has always been a party animal. He loves to be out and about all the time when he's home. WeHo is THE gay neighborhood in LA, so he is always with friends and other gay people.
He certainly isn't going to stay home every night while he's in town. Some gay couples might be homebodies, but not Adam and Oli. And being seen is part of a celeb's job. He knows that trolls come with the territory and sometimes he can't resist responding. I can't blame him. But he knows full well that responding to idiots won't stop them. It just feeds them.
As to the previous thread's post about how much children should be exposed to adult sexuality, along with gay, trans, drag and other varieties, I guess the final responsibility lies with the parents and how they feel, even if some of us more libera-minded people may think that kids need at least some exposure to these things just so they might be more accepting of people notlike them.
I draw the line at passing laws that restrict gay people, etc., from having the same freedoms and opportunities as straight people. That's an ongoing battle that needs to be fought.

I think we really have to take a look at ourselves too...after all...when is th last time any of us said or thought much negative about a man defending his wife or partner, publlicly. I do not see a difference and applaud Adam for defending Oliver ... as I would expect Oliver to speak up for Adam. Particularly on media platforms and in public, be it Instagram or twitter or adamtopia for that matter....ymmv

Yep. We should all look at ourselves when we think our opinions are the only ones that matter and everyone else should just shut up. It is just a conversation for pity's sake.
