I am on page 29 and every time the link to the video is posted, I watch. Has anyone else noticed that the Dark!Adam frame pulses with the beat (heartbeat?) and that the Light!Adam frame is sharp and constant? So is the dark our heart/emotions and the light our brain/intellect?

CaroLambs carol fortunato Adam told us with his own lips he would only do guest apearences with Queen not a whole tour.8 minutes ago This is what it has always been, guest appearances. It can be Sonisphere, or something else. Nobody knows before Queen & Adam confirms it. The funny thing is that the media really seems to want this to be true... since 2009... LOL. I would not mind at all, if the album collabo would be with Queen, tho... IF they are going to record any new/old not finished tracks, Adam would be a perfect fit. IMO. |

On a berting high since last night. Love everyone's thinky thoughts! Thoughts about the video in particular, the lulzy pantomine acting, the sets, the color, it's almost like a Pixar short. It's an allegory, a fairy tale in Adam's own mind. A myth, not realism, but truthful in the way archetypal myths can be. Dark Adam isn't meant to really be evil. (My dark side isn't particularly evil). In some ways it's the inner child, fearful, self-doubting, reactionary, feeling vs. thinking. It wants and fears love so it acts out. I think it's fitting that the eyes are part of Adam's regular Halloween costumes, it's a 'i'm so skurry' front. Our dark side is also vain, anxious, greedy, driven by base desires, angry, frustrated, self-destructive and our inner critical voice. Everything light Adam tries to do, dark Adam mocks and belittles. But this side of us is also the root of passion, action, ambition, drive. In some eastern religions the (limited) ego is often seen as a veil or illusion, that part that says 'i'm alone, i'm different from others, i'm not part of god/the universe, i'm scared'. In some traditions the goal or spiritual practice isn't to destroy the individual ego totally, but to purify it, understand it, accept it, overcome it's limitations. I think it's really telling that it's dark Adam who breaks the stalement, who in some ways refuses to let light Adam sublimate and dismiss what's going on underneath the placid and self-righteous surface.
