I LOVE THIS ONE SO MUCH  This one kills me, Gelly. There's something about his hopeful, earnest face looking upwards, and the gesture of offering the chess game... gah! He's trying SO hard to connect! How could anyone turn him down? |

As regards the air canisters- I think they were looking for some way to show the connection between the two rooms/Adams. Could have been something umbilical or something like this shared air supply. Not that we wouldn't know anyway but maybe it was a clear effort to make even the most dense person see- maybe they thought folks wouldn't get why light Adam is passing out because of a fire next door, LOL. I agree, Buders. I think the whole scenario is going on inside Adam's brain, or psyche, and of course both sides are present and share the same air. I was thinking some more about the vid, and it occurred to me that both Adams are kind of impotent. Light Adam is all goody-goody and doing all these "good for you" things, but he's still trapped. He looks outside but he can't leave. Dark Adam is violent and destructive, but he can't really destroy himself-- not even with fire. He messes up his makeup but in the next moment it's perfect again. All the passion and power is in Dark Adam, but without a purpose, it's just flailing. Light Adam tries all these different ways to "tame" Dark Adam. He tries to sweetly coax him, he tries to ignore him, he tries to sweep (Dark Adam's messiness?) away. He meditates and loses himself in music. He even tries to win him over with logic (chess). But nothing works, I think because Light Adam was not accepting Dark Adam-- shaking his head, judging him. It was Dark Adam who had the power to bring them together, and that power was compassion. Compassion towards Light Adam, and on another level, the compassion that a person should have for themselves. There was a moment near the end when Dark Adam draws back and I was scared that he was going to leave Light Adam to die. But instead he was just gathering his strength to break down the wall and reach out gently to his other side. Have I said how much I love this video????!!!!!  |

LindaG23... that was a great observation about the "pulsing" Dark Adam side of the video! It's not only pulsing, but the edges are raggedy, too. The non-pulsing right-side edges are totally clear and crisp!!
