Um, Bjork? They'd have a lovely time together. Anyway, I love Iceland which leads me to the new video for 'Little Talks' by Of Monsters and Men that I saw on Vevo while waiting for Adam. OMG! I am so late to the 'guess what the video is about' game.
My ~thoughts are that the two rooms of dark and light, which are joined very obviously by the matching air canisters in each room, are about the two sides of dark and light and which are co-joined by the common denominator of the life force - which is air/ether/energy. They co-exist with and within each other - they are the yin and yang - they BALANCE each other out. They breathe the same air. They are the same spirit that co-exists within us all.
Dark and Light cannot exist without each other. I think this vid is about finding the harmony between both sides within ourselves.
OK ~rambling now. *pours another bourbon*
Mind you, in saying all of the above shit, I absolutely adore the Star Trek theory a while back too ;D

Jut finsihed watching Idol. Madonna's song and video are horrible!!!  Why must every song nowadays have the artist's name included and repeated again and again. Madonna is 50, she needs a different image! It was all just so wrong! Yeah, that video clip was pretty bad, especially considering how good Madonna's videos used to be, like "Express Yourself" (directed by David Fincher), "Vogue", "Take A Bow", etc. This just isn't in the same league. And I kept expecting someone to start chanting "Hey Mickey". LOL. |

I read that Madonna tied her video into the football game theme in honor of the Super Bowl, but it's just okay. She looks great, but the black outfit with hose, heels and the big cross is pretty 10 years ago. Nicki Minaj doesn't look her best, either (sort of like a cross-dresser in the cheerleader uniform with day-glo makeup).
I think Madonna has been quite a cultural force for years, but Adam brings a lot more to the table-- especially vocally!
