Wow, slow day today apparently. Adam, do something !! Ha! my thoughts, exactly. Guess he's working or investing or something. Interesting Oliver's tweet the other day something about work dress code for the day at the pool with an open laptop. I guess he is working remotely somehow. I wasn't thrilled with Adam's look for the Studio 54 event. I thought the white hair slicked back made him look much older. It is interesting because I LOVED the black hair slicked back. Maybe we will see something later about something last night. We can hope. (If he's even in the country..........) |

ETA: Lol, didn't even notice the hair in the 54 pic. It was a theme party, so everybody dressed and looked a bit goofy. |

I would love to know if Adam is still working on his musical and where it and the album stand. A lot of publicity about it early on then almost nothing about him working on it lately. I see the Britney Spears Musical (about her music) just closed on Broadway after only 2 months. Don't know about the interest in Jobriath but hopefully with Adam diving it, with some good rock music, there will be a market for it. And maybe with JB not being known by the masses it will make it as asset because there will be little to judge it by. He had a sad life story. A label trying to exploit his sexuality and make him the next big thing but only to be rejected and ridiculed by the public as a caricature. Not sure his story would be a draw but I think rock oriented musicals have done much better than pop musicals. And I believe Adam said it would open in a UK theater first but I could remember wrong, lol.

Well, I think the reason we haven't heard anything about the musical lately is because he's done with the promo blitz for the moment. He did A LOT of interviews there for a while. I had trouble keeping up. I would imagine the next promo, if any, will be with Brian and Roger for the QAL tour. Although at this point, it's hard to imagine that they would even need any promo. |

I'm hoping that "the music" part of "the musical" has made good progress and the next phase of putting together the show itself will get underway. Adam did warn us that this thing could be a couple of years away. I agree with the fact that because Jobriath is unknown to most people, there will be little pre-judgement of this show and people will be curious about it. I seems like there are some pretty high-level people involved in the show, so chances are good that it will get completed and actually happen. Hope so. Adam seems very excited about it.
I'm ready for some black Adam hair.

I'm ready for some black Adam hair. Sounds good and I hope so too. And I agree that Jobriath was not so well known or successful. He was to be the new American answer to David Bowie but wasn't. And Bowie, Freddie, Elton and others were still out there doing the glam rock thing but not openly claiming to be gay at that time. I miss the dark(black) hair too. |
