OMG that video is so fantastic-- I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Love the deeper interpretations, love just watching how gorgeous all three Adams are.

Dark Adam is so bad, but I can't tear my eyes away-- tormented and angry and destructive, he mocks Light Adam but he keeps watching him, putting on a show for him. Everything on that side is cold and sharp and dark. No wonder he's miserable, lol.

And Light Adam is nice and sweet but almost ridiculously so. Drinking tea and sweeping with his silly broom and meditating-- it's just too perfect. No wonder Dark Adam mocks him and refuses to come over.

But neither of them are satisfied and both of them are trapped in these small rooms with a shared oxygen supply. I love the symbolism of the pomegranate. The story of Persephone is partly about finding balance, but in this video, Dark Adam seems to destroy that possibility. He doesn't seem to care that the fire he creates will destroy him. It's only when he realizes it's killing Light Adam that he has a moment of compassion. And in a final act of destruction, he breaks the glass wall that separates them.

I think it's meaningful that it's Dark Adam that brings them together. You can't "master" or overcome the dark side by sheer will-- the dark side must be acknowledged and accepted.

And finally Balanced Adam is out walking free! And walking past a No Trespassing zone-- ready to go wherever he wants to go-- bringing his whole self to the journey.

Adam Lambert Debuts 'Better Than I Know Myself' Video
The "American Idol" alum battles his inner demons in the new clip, while in real life, Lambert tells THR, right now is the happiest he's ever been.


Glamberts everywhere are celebrating today as Feb. 3 marks the long-awaited arrival of Adam Lambert's video for "Better Than I Know Myself." And it's safe to say, they won't be disappointed.

Directed by Ray Kay (Willow Smith's "Whip My Hair"), Lambert is seen in two completely different looks, one warm and homey, the other cold and sinister as he battles his inner-demons and wins. The setting: a home of the future complete with Oxygen tanks and its own DEFCON-like system.
The first single from his forthcoming Trespassing, due out this Spring, the clip tells the story of someone who's torn from the inside out, pinning the positive (cozy sweaters, books, yoga) against the destructive (leather trench coats, booze, partying) in a fight for self-respect and happiness, the kind that you get when you fall in love.

Indeed, in a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Lambert gushed about his boyfriend of more than a year, Finnish reality star Sauli Koskinen. "There was definitely a click when I saw him for the first time," he said of their initial meeting at a bar following a Glam Nation tour stop in Finland. "I was like, 'Woah, I want to see him again,' so I made plans to see him again and it just kept clicking each time."

I agree. First thing I noticed. Only Adam! That's all we need.

How many times have we all said things like:

"What dancers?"

"There was someone else on the stage?"

"I wish they'd forget the lasers and turn up the lights, I can't see Adam in the damn video/photo."
