Driving the news: "Some states have enacted laws and policies that may affect 2SLGBTQI+ persons," the advisory states, adding that travelers should check relevant state and local laws. The caution, which is for people who identify as two-spirit, lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning or intersex, did not specify which states it was referring to. The big picture: There has been an uptick in legislation targeting the LGBTQ+ community in the U.S. over the last several years, with 495 such bills introduced by lawmakers in 46 states this year alone, per the American Civil Liberties Union. Lawmakers in several red states have also introduced new laws targeting transgender rights and gender-affirming care for minors. In June, the Human Rights Campaign declared a state of emergency for LGBTQ+ people living in the U.S. – the first time the organization made such a warning in its 40-year history. It's hard to believe that in 2023, after hundreds of years of struggles to improve human rights in the US, another country has to warn people about our new restrictive laws against LGBT+ people. I was watching some youtube videos last night and I came across this gem that I had not seen before. It is from Dunmore's Movie Mania. Queen and Adam Lambert The Show Must Go on. This guy was spot on with his review but he had me laughing with his lines and delivery. He said Adam was better than George Michael, Marc Matel, Paul Rogers and Fr----,HA. He also expressed his ir at Adam losing Idol to a Cherry-boy, lol. He is a Queen fanatic and did not give Adam a look until about 2 years after he started touring with Queen. Lovely to hear the presenters describing Adam as ‘amazing’ and ‘phenomenal’ but I felt this clip cut off Kate Garroway’s comments. I just looked it up on Catch-up (Sorry I have no idea how to bring it here) and she adds tentatively, ‘I’d almost say, better than Freddie!’ You say it Kate! My goodness, ITV loves Adam… |

Too bad that part was left out. Yes, I agree better than Freddie. I am a long time Queen fan, but I live in reality. Adam, in my opinion, is better, has a trained voice, spent years learning how to use it properly and can sing any genre. But then, music is very subjective.o
