"Feel Something" is one of my favorites from Velvet. Wish it had been pushed. There was so much excitement from the press and fans about his first song in a long time. And it was so powerful and heartfelt and as good as "Believe" to me. Instead they called it a teaser then later, when much of the excitement had died down, tried to push "New Eyes". NE meant something to Adam and was used as a talking point but it did not resonate. Other favorites from Velvet were "Closer to You," "Loverboy" and "Superpower." But I liked the entire album. One of his best albums, imo.

Everyone I knew connected hugely to that song. I think it could have hit like Whaddaya Want From Me. Some said it was too simple but I don't agree. It had everything going for it as a pop ballad

I love Feel Something...agree it could have been a great song, but it was really too short. Wish they had written it a tad longer, like a regular song.
I wasn't that enthusiastic about Velvet, tbh, but several songs have grown on me. I loved, loved, loved his acoustic version of On The Moon on Corden. It was spectacular...have listened to it many times, but didn't really like it on the album.
I did like Loverboy and Roses (love the video). Didn't really care for New Eyes at all, and there were several others I never really listened to. I'm not a 70's fan at all, so I think the whole 70's vibe really threw off the album for me...hated the extensions, the bell bottoms, and the whole "look" lol.

I loved Ready To Run a lot. It had a driving energy that just pulled me along. I loved Feel Something, Closer To You, Superpower, Roses. Honestly, to me, New Eyes was a snooze.
For multiple reasons, Velvet never got off the ground. It was a very strong album. I hope his next solo album (other than "the musical" one) will be a strong new direction for Adam, one that uses his voice to the max (that doesn't always mean loud), and has songs that really stand out. Of course, that what every artist wants for all their albums. This may very well be QAL's last tour cycle. I know they've got shows planned in Japan and elsewhere, but the clock is ticking. Not every vintage band can be the Stones who are hitting 80 and still going strong. I just want QAL to end on a triumphant high note when it does happen. I'm sure Adam has pondered his career, post-QAL. Hope his legacy with them serves him well.
