Queen's Roger Taylor hails Adam Lambert as one of the greatest vocalists in the world
"FACT!"
Queen drummer Roger Taylor has hailed Adam Lambert as one of the greatest singers on the planet.
Queen + Adam Lambert kick off the second North American leg of their multi-year Rhapsody Tour next week with two sold-out shows at CFG Bank Arena in Baltimore.
Ahead of the 23-date tour commencing, Queen + Adam Lambert have teased that the highly acclaimed production is “expanded and updated” for an “even more ambitious show.”
Brian May explains: “We’re still calling our show The Rhapsody Tour, but the content has evolved massively from when you last saw it. New toys, new takes, but all the hits and more.”
Roger Taylor also took the opportunity to lavish Adam Lambert with compliments, saying: “Adam is certainly a real force on stage.
“It’s been nothing but a riotously funny and enjoyable journey with him. He is simply one of the best vocalists in the world – FACT!”
Reciprocating the praise, Adam Lambert says: “I consider it a beautiful twist of fate that I was put on a path that aligned me with Brian and Roger.
“I can’t wait to tour North America one more time alongside the two unbelievably talented legends that are Brian May and Roger Taylor.”
The 2023 North American tour will see Queen + Adam Lambert supported on stage by their regular band members, long-serving Queen keyboard player Spike Edney, bass guitarist Neil Fairclough and percussionist Tyler Warren.
Alongside the arena shows in cities such as New York, Boston, Atlanta, Nashville, Chicago, Dallas, San Francisco and Los Angeles, the tour also includes a performance at the Formula 1 Lenovo US Grand Prix at Circuit of The Americas in Austin, Texas on Saturday 21st October.
Speaking to Planet Rock’s Wyatt in August, Brian May conceded that Queen + Adam Lambert’s shows this autumn could be their last lengthy tour overseas.
