Saw QAL for the first time last night. The show is amazing! I still cannot speak. LOL. We had great seats and now I want to go back! So sorry that I can’t. I see why people go over and over again. I was disappointed that they didn’t do TSMGO. Adam was in great voice, doing all the high notes, so I was surprised. I always overthink things and I am wondering if something was going on somewhere. Maybe Brian’s loss of his dear friend had something to do with it. They started later than usual and Brian forgot to introduce Adam and took the mic from him to do it. Roger introduced the band instead of Brian or, as was done the past couple of shows, Adam. It almost looked like Adam was late coming out. (Again me over thinking) So they were a couple of things beside the elimination of TSMGO. But, that’s me overthinking. Adam is phenomenal and I don’t believe there is a singer that can touch him.

Brian is a very emotional person...I'm sure the death of his driver/friend hit him really hard, especially a 30-year relationship. I wouldn't be surprised if it would have had an impact on him as far as the show is concerned.
So glad you enjoyed your show, Quackn. And I agree, there isn't a singer that can touch Adam's talent.

First of all, I can't get over how slim and fit Adam is!!! He takes my breath away. I have never seen him look better. And the voice. No superlatives are enough.
Quackn, so glad you saw your first live show! It's worth every penny, isn't it? I'm do think that some of your observations are a bit of over-thinking, but that's ok. We all see different things. The show looked flawless to me. Adam does not always perform TSMGO. It's a REALLY big song, and I think he sometimes feels that he's got enough on his plate with huge songs and sometimes that one has to go. I'm sure he'll include it again.
Brian must be suffering terribly from the loss of his friend. It's got to affect him deeply. But he performed magnificently nonetheless. He's a pro, above all.

twitter.com/billboard/status/1712863294501912723Queen + Adam Lambert Deliver a Rhapsodic Show at Madison Square Garden: 5 Best MomentsThe iconic rock group brought high production value, incredible performances and a pristine setlist to their NYC return concert. When a parade of CGI-made, red-eyed robots began marching across the scrim at Madison Square Garden on Thursday (Oct. 12) night, the 20,000 people huddled in attendance let out a rapturous cheer. The far-off voice of late rock icon Freddie Mercury echoed through the cavernous venue, singing the first chorus of “Machines (Or Back to Humans)” as the screen slowly lifted, revealing the three men eager to carry on the legacy of his band that evening. That is just what Queen + Adam Lambert did during their 2-hour performance at Madison Square Garden on Thursday evening. Hardly stopping throughout the madcap evening for so much as a water break, Lambert, Sir Brian May and Roger Taylor gave fans of the iconic rock group an evening to remember, playing through some of their greatest hits as well as a few beloved B-sides.With Lambert taking the helm as the touring group’s new frontman all the way back in 2012, it’s been officially been over a decade of the trio performing together, a fact that he relished about halfway through the evening. “Can you guys believe that I have gotten to tour with these legends for the last 10 years?” Lambert said to a cheering audience. “It is such a privilege to be singing this music.”There was a lot to take in throughout the event — between emotional tributes, flashy pyrotechnics and some ridiculously good performances, Queen + Adam Lambert left everything they had on the stage. Below, Billboard takes a look back at 5 of the best moments from Thursday night’s show of the band’s Rhapsody Tour:All the Stage Production You Could Hope ForIf there’s one thing that Queen has always understood as a band, it’s the idea of theatrics. That fact certainly didn’t change during their MSG show — at different points in the evening, fans were treated to all manner of spectacles from Lambert, May and Taylor. For “Bicycle Race,” Lambert rose from under the stage on a shimmering chrome motorcycle (straddling a camera on its dashboard all the while); during “Killer Queen,” the singer turned his back to the audience and performed directly into a vanity mirror, primping and preening at every given opportunity; even during “A Kind of Magic,” May managed to conjure up sorcery of his by shooting flares out of the end of his guitar.

Watch Queen + Adam Lambert Perform an Emotional ‘Is This The World We Created…?’ in New York They resurrected the 1984 deep cut last week, and it took on a new meaning in the aftermath of the massacre in Israel When Queen + Adam Lambert launched the 2023 leg of their Rhapsody tour last week, they dipped deep into the Queen catalog and resurrected the 1984 deep cut “Is This the World We Created…?” for the first time since Lambert stepped into the role as frontman. The song was written in response to African poverty and was famously played at Live Aid in 1985, but it took on a new meaning at New York’s Madison Square Garden on Thursday night in the aftermath of the massacre in Israel.
The song was played acoustically by Brian May and Lambert on the B-stage, and it brought the arena to a hushed silence. “Oh-oh, is this the world we created?” Lambert sang. “We made it on our own/Is this the world we devastated, right to the bone?/If there’s a God in the sky, looking down/What can he think of what we’ve done/To the world that He created?” They didn’t mention the ongoing situation in Israel, but it wasn’t necessary. Here’s a fan-shot video of the moment.
