yes, Jazzrocks, I think this is where it stands.
I yesterday was looking into creating a separate project, but the consensus at the end of the day seemed to be that it was not necessary to create a special project for Valentines day, but that people could donate to the general AL donation program and just use a text comment, i.e. Happy Valentines Day.
But I think that it is important to plant the idea now on twitter that this is a gift option, because as many couples will discuss the next few days how to celebrate that day this year, it would be good if folks know to mention to their significant others/spouces that they would be happy with such a gift....
A tag like i.e. #Valentinegiftidea #bringcleanwater might actually pull in many people that are normally not part of the fandom and that was really the whole objective here.
We should just agree here which tagline or expression we want to run with.

You're welcome for the Jump Start vid, everyone. I waited to see if someone had capped it, but since nothing showed up on twitter, I just filmed my TV set. Just wanted people to be able to see it! Maybe a better cap will show up later.

Twitter seems to think this interview ^^^^ was today. Damn, I wish I looked that good right after being sick. Maybe they are doing whatever he can from his hotel rather than cancel everything?

I think a Twitter tag that is kind of quirky would make people curious to discover what it means and they would click on it. I know that I've checked out topics that are trending when they're unusual and I want to find out what the heck they mean. The important thing is to get everyone to use the same tag so that it trends. I was thinking of something like #WaterIsAValentine. It has to be unusual enough to stand out from the rest of the trending topics. |
