Earlier this month, Clear Channel Radio engaged in an Artist Integration partnership with Rostrum Records to launch rapper Mac Miller's new album, Blue Slide Park, which debuted at #1 on the sales chart last week. The program proved to be successful after Blue Slide Park sold 145,914 copies and became the first independently distributed album to top the Billboard chart since 1995. Miller's two week-long on-air/online Artist Integration campaign featured a series of nearly 18,000 30-second on-air artist profile spots that ran across 102 Clear Channel Mainstream CHR and Rhythmic CHR stations nationwide, directing listeners to station sites where they could find more information on Miller. Other elements of the campaign included video streams, custom artist pages, banner ads and online promotions with direct links to iTunes, where listeners could purchase the album. Overall, the promotion delivered more than 90 million digital and on-air impressions.
