quackn It's been fun to look at Oliver's New York pictures. My family had a wonderful holiday there in 2007. I see that Oliver went to the Rockettes show at Radio City Music Hall. So did we and it was spectacular! The Hall is enormous -- hard to grasp how big it is until you actually in the space! Yes, it is rather large. Hard to realize many years ago (maybe the 30's) it was a movie theatre. Even when I was a child, the Christmas and Easter shows were accompanied by a suitable and holiday themed movie. Can you tell, I LOVE NY at Christmas. I make a trip in every year, just to see the sights. I am actually not that far away. |

I must say I am becoming a bit annoyed. Every store I have gone into in the past about 2 weeks is playing Please Come Home for Christmas. I have heard a minimum of 6 different artists sing this song. None of them are Adam. Is it because it is Spotify only? I would love to hear his version in a store.

Yes, I think it's because it was only released to Spotify to gather royalties through that platform. Any commercial enterprise - including stores, restaurant, bars, or even a condominium clubhouse - can't play music on a sound system without a license from ASCAP, BMI, or a third service which doesn't come to mind. I think Sirius may have a commercial license available for those types of entities. One just can't create a "mixtape" to play. There's an obligation to pay royalties, no matter how small, which is collected through the license agreement. |
