I think the song will be lovely. It is Westminster Abbey after all, not a rock concert lol. Adam has had plenty of opportunities to belt and at this point, everybody pretty much knows he's a belter.
I really hope we get the chance to hear it. I'm so happy for him that he got invited...really proud of him.

I don't care for the song. I hear it over and over again every year. My problem is I hate the smell of roasting chestnuts (LOL) and the song brings back the smell. I would have liked something a little more "upbeat" as I am sure the acoustics are phenomenal. But, honestly, my favorite AI song from Adam was Tracks of My Tears. His "small" voice is so beautiful, pure and clear. I can't wait to hear it.

Did you know that in the Disney short "Prep and Landing - Naughty vs. Nice", at exactly 15:00, the elf Magee uses "Roasting chestnuts!" as a swear word? nica575 . Interesting point about who chose their song. If Adam and Beverley chose it together (rather than being imposed on them) then I’d have more confidence that it was going to wow! But who knows…and the arrangement may be brilliant. So many people will be seeing Adam for perhaps the first time and won’t have the advantage of knowing just how exceptional he is. And of course the duet will be good - however I’m not afraid to say I would like them to hear him at the very best of his considerable ability. 😃 Sooo looking forward to eating my words.

SophieB, Yes, this is what I've been saying about first-timers in the audience. We Adam fans want them to be wowed from the very first second. The song they are doing is just fine. Everybody knows that song. Of course, they will sing it beautifully. Adam has said that his favorite Christmas song is "O Holy Night," which is a song that demands a BIG voice. We heard Adam sing a bit of it in China when he was on a big event and was teaching the emcee how to sing it. I would have loved to hear him sing it (solo) at Westminster. But I'm through dwelling on that. I know I will enjoy his duet with Beverely. Maybe they'll change it up just a bit and give us a few "big voice" moments.
