Translated from Portuguese I only discovered today that Adam Lambert released an album of re-recordings in 2023 😱 In addition to reimagining some classics (Duran Duran, Culture Club, Bonnie Tyler, etc.) he also focused on more recent songs by Kings of Leon, Sia, Lana Del Rey and even Billie Eilish... Great curation! twitter.com/thicouto/status/1734247736243876048

I was watching Adam and Queen's opening Oscar performance last night on youtube on tv. Then I pulled up Janelle Monae with Billy Porter's opening a year later. What a huge difference in the reaction and enthusiasm from the audience. Janelle's opening was more the standard type of Oscar opening and enjoyable. However, Queen and Adam just brought a different energy. And they rocked the place. Where Janelle and team had to work extra hard to engage the audience to some degree, QAL had everyone in the palm of their hands from the very beginning and they appeared effortless. Of course, Adam looked like a handsome movie star himself and QAl's performance was wonderful and different from the norm. One of many great experiences for Adam (along with the Jubilee) and they keep coming. www.youtube.com/watch?v=mHOB8bgrUvAwww.youtube.com/watch?v=O6Rt06Xwl4w

Haven't watched the Oscar opening for a long time, and I am SO thrilled to watch it again! QAL was the FIRST ROCK BAND TO OPEN THE OSCARS EVER! Just one more major feather in Adam's cap. They had that audience in the palm of their hands from the very first second.
Janelle and Billy did a great job, but it was nowhere near the electricity in the air when Queen and Adam strutted onto the stage. No one will match that again, IMO.

Yes Adam did strut and it was magnificent. Lawd!!! That was some opening. And the looks and enthusiasm from the stars in the audience, as they rocked with them, said it all. I think it takes a lot to impress that crowd but QAL delivered big.

Adam Lambert Says It Was 'Lovely' to Meet Kate Middleton at Carol Concert (Exclusive) The rocker tells PEOPLE all about the "breathtaking" energy of Westminster AbbeyAdam Lambert helped kick off the royal family's festive season by performing at Kate Middleton's Together At Christmas carol concert.
Lambert, 41, was among the artists tapped to perform at the Princess of Wales’ third annual Christmas carol service, which was held at Westminster Abbey last Friday. The American Idol alum exclusively tells PEOPLE that it was surreal to sing inside the historic abbey — and shared that he connected with Princess Kate ahead of his performance.
“I had the honor of meeting Catherine, Princess of Wales. She invited the performers she wanted to see at the service, and it was lovely to visit with her before we performed,” Lambert tells PEOPLE.
Lambert sang “The Christmas Song” alongside British singer-songwriter Beverley Knight shortly before Prince William delivered a Bible reading. An attendee said that George, Charlotte and Louis "watched intently" as Lambert and Knight sang the Christmas classic.
According to the artist, the atmosphere inside Westminster Abbey (where the Prince and Princess of Wales wed in 2011 and King Charles was crowned in May) was completely serene when it came time to hit the mic.
“Very still, which added a calmness to my energy. The song felt sort of like a lullaby,” Lambert says.
The "Whataya Want from Me" hitmaker, who first rose to fame on season 8 of American Idol, says that the depth of the setting added to the grandeur.
