I finally saw a good movie about Liberace. The first one I saw, several years ago, was too much about sex and little about the man. Don't enjoy any movie (gay or straight) that is mostly about someone's sex life. I never knew much about Liberace other than him being being portrayed as a caricature. And some used his persona to insult Adam (who was nothing like him) when he first came on the scene. But the older movie I recently found actually showed Liberace's early life and how he became a star and what he went thru to get there. The movie was rather sad tho cause it seemed he never found true love. He seemed to only have many much younger unaccomplished male lovers who wanted to party and live off of his money and stardom but contributed little other than companionship. But times were different then. I am so glad that Brian and Roger did not allow Sacha Baron Cohen and various critics to make BR only about Freddie's sexuality. They made the right call resulting in Oscar wins and BR is still the highest grossing music biopic followed by Elvis which was not even close. Behind the Candelabra? Yep. Behind the Candelabra was the first one that I did not enjoy at all. Not knowing much about Liberace, that movie mostly showed that he was gay, had sex and was partial to men much younger that he. Not sure who was doing the exploiting, Liberace or the young men who didn't seem to have much success or many opportunities. It told me nothing about the man and how he became so successful. But the older movie I saw the other night (don't remember the name as I stumbled across it) really showed who he was, how he got there and was not so salacious. Much more interesting and a bit fascinating for that time.

Good lord, what did Michelle Visage do to her face? She looks like a doll (and not in a good way)

This was sooo much fun to watch...loved the guy's reactions to the song. Was definitely getting into it. Thanks for finding that, PI.
