Good point, Rihannsu...I always forget about some of the weird YT rules and regulations. There seems to be no rhyme or reason for some of them. Pretty much every platform has it's own rules. Often based on things they have been challenged on legally in the past or agreements with their advertisers. On any platform is you are monetized to get ad revenue there are things that can demonetize your content. YouTube especially has it's own rules about how you have to label your content especially because of challenges brought about things targeted to kids. You can't assume that something that is okay on one platform will automatically be okay elsewhere. It's a real struggle to keep up with everything. very good point. Not sure if I remember correctly but around the time when Adam first came along, itunes made it so you could no longer purchase as many of the same single and albums that you wanted (and have them count). Someone sued because they were charged more than once for a single purchase so they made the change. If you wanted to support a favorite, you had to purchase at different venues if you wanted extras to count. That is why the earlier Idols put up much bigger numbers because the restrictions on purchases were not there when Carrie, Kelly, Clay, Daughtry etc. first came on the scene. It was easier for fans to run up the numbers and help them with chart runs and put them on the map for Grammy nominations or wins. Once the change took place, they still did well because they were popular and known but no longer enjoyed numbers as they did earlier before the restrictions.
