Queen + Adam Lambert
If there was ever an iconic band to play the Super Bowl halftime, Queen most definitely fits the bill. I mean they created a song about winners and losers. Something that most definitely happens at the Big Game. Sadly they have yet to be asked to perform. Now we get that in the past, they never had a singer. But now that they have Adam Lambert fronting the group, it would totally make sense. And the group has the catalog to fill the time. I agree. QAL would be fantastic. But with Jay-Z and Roc Nation being in charge of the SB talent since 2019, I doubt we will get Queen. But I can still hope. HA. But Jay-Z has chosen acts like Rihanna, Weeknd, a group of Rappers and now Usher so not sure he would even consider QAL. My guess is we will soon get Beyonce yet again so the usual suspects can swoon over her "fierce" dance moves and gush over how much they love her.

I agree that the Super Bowl performers are chosen to attract a certain demographic, but it's getting awfully repetitive. And as talented as many of the singers are, those big throngs of backup dancers get pretty old, at least to me. And no, I am NOT someone who thinks all current music is dumb. I like many current artists. I just keep imagining the electricity in the stadium when the iconic stomp-stomp clap of We Will Rock You would unite everyone in the stands regardless of their age. Not to mention We Are The Champions. Those songs were born for the arenas, and the Super Bowl is the pinnacle. Seems a shame to waste the opportunity before it's too late. And then, of course, there's Adam voice, heard by many SB fans for the first time. Makes sense to me.

I don't know...I have ambivalent feelings about QAL and the SB. While I do agree that they would sound amazing as a halftime show, I can also imagine the same group of people that are currently losing their brain over TS and TK losing the rest of their brains because Queen is daring to play without Freddie...starting a whole new shitstorm of discussions about Adam not being Freddie and that it's no longer Queen and that Adam is gay, etc etc etc.
You know the usual complaints and cries of "BUT HE'S NOT FREDDIE".
Like I said, ambivalent feelings lol.

I agree that Oliver is definitely not shy. “US AGAINST THE WORLD..” as in his birthday message to Adam is one of many indicators. Adam reposted it, so he seems to be on board lol
With regards to the QAL Super Bowl not happening, I try to see the perspective/level of interest from outside our very devoted and enthusiastic fan bubble.

I can't see Jay-Z choosing QAL. But they have played to huge audiences all around the world for over 10 years so I don't believe Adam's sexuality would be a big deal. And unlike someone like LNX, it is not as if Adam would show up at the SB in a mini skirt and fishnet stockings for attention and shock value just to pi** everyone off. HA. Adam would be a total rockstar. QAL played the Oscars, The Jubilee and and Global Citizens to worldwide audiences with rave reviews and not just from us fans. Yes, you will always get some nitwits with something negative to say (about any artist) but acts with QAL's level of success, recognition and notoriety would not shy away if given the opportunity. I think they would be great but they are not the Urban and R&B acts that Jay-Z has been presenting.
