Didn't we read something recently that said his next album might include some of the unused songs from Velvet? Did I hear that right? Supposedly there are some good tracks that were not chosen for album. But I'm also glad to hear that he is working on brand new music, too. As for the dance, pop, disco genre, I'm not a huge fan either, never was. I'm a rock fan in my heart, through and through. I'd love to see him do a real rock album. That being said, I don't hate all pop, disco and dance music. There are songs that I like in just about every genre. I just want something from him that will grab wide attention and get heard by a wider audience. Artists are jumping genres all over the place now. He should try it, too. I would assume that his label/mgt have some input into all this? Each QAL tour may be the last. He needs to think ahead. I will always love him for his voice and many talents. I'm a fan to stay. But it sure would be nice to see him get a hit. Gee, some of the artists who have been around for 20+ years are emerging again with big hits. Dolly Parton, Miley Cyrus and Demi all have #1 rock albums and Demi also has a #1 alt album. My guess is Adam is just not interested in going for anything other than Pop. I believe at this stage of his career, he and his label could try getting some recognition in another genre if he wanted. Who the he** would tell the Queen frontman that he can only do Pop (dead end for him with little or no recognition or label push) and can't rock or be taken seriously on the rock/alt charts or with award nominations in those genres? He can't do an worse than he is doing with his songs/albums now. Heck, even the new heads at RCA in an interview (before Adam left the label) said they did not see him as pop but more pop/rock and rock but that was not how Adam viewed himself. Probably why they let Trespassing die even though it debuted at #1. Why wouldn't a label support a #1 album? But I guess if they don't believe in your direction they will fail to support you.

QueenWhile their success was built behind their former legendary frontman, Freddie Mercury, Queen continues to remain relevant with Adam Lambert at the forefront. The 2001 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee received a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2018 to celebrate their musical success. The Super Bowl Halftime Show would be the perfect place for this band to showcase their greatest hits and the aptly appropriate "We Are The Champions."

I am with Adam to stay. As far as I am concerned he can sing any genre. But, he has said - way in the past - he doesn't believe in genre. So, I wonder who or what determines what genre a song belongs in. I have heard different things indicate different genres. We can all tell country and classic. But, what defines rock or pop? As far as placing Adam's music in a category, I just wonder who does that.....him? the label? some music organization or union? Somehow, I don't think American music will ever give Adam what he deserves. I will go back to "Believe", yes a cover, but an extraordinary cover (like Whitney Houston and I Will Always Love You), presented to be nominated for a grammy, but didn't make the cut. Meanwhile, everyone who hears that song is mesmerized as was the audience of professionals that heard Adam sing it and gave him a standing O. Still nothing for him. So, I give up on that. I think he is happy with what he is doing. I am sure he would love more recognition from the US, but the UK has adopted him and loves him. He gets his love there, too bad for us.
