Hmm it somehow sounds like the album could be delayed for a few weeks. He would not was "haven't really locked it down yet" if he could not remember the date and it is an important date, which I would expect him to know if he knows he is going to have a bunch of interviews.
Bad news would be, we would have to wait a little bit longer. I can live with that.
Good news would be the single would have more time to grow or if they what to change the single, the new one would get more time. It could also be because of a collaboration, that they want to have on the album, but are not sure if they can finish the track in time.
We know the album will come, when exactly does not matter to me.

You know, this is just a more stressful point in the cycle of everything right now. It is like those times around the AMAs/FYE/WWFM release. We have a first single that is doing fine, but isn't taking off like some had hoped for, and we have Adam's sophomore release coming up which is very important. It just simply isn't a carefree time period like those we experienced during the GN tour or during Adam's time recording this past year. Adam is working night and day and I guarantee he is stressed about it all somewhat. At the same time he is excited for it all. That's how many of us are feeling. Every time period can't be worry free and carefree. Stanning someone, anyone, is never that way all the time. I agree, this is just an anxious time, but I have no doubt this era is going to go very well for Adam. His booking at that Japan music festival in August is very telling, IMO. Do you think Adam would be booked at this event if he weren't positioned to be a major global artist? I really think RCA is aware they have something special with Adam and this album. I have no doubt they will release and fully support at least two more singles from this album globally. I am almost positive BTIKM was released early to counteract the BFM issue, but it skewed our perspective on where we think this single should be. However, I do agree BTIKM was meant to reintroduce Adam before bringing out the big guns. I have a strong feeling they will be releasing another single right around album launch. Yeah, I guess I just need to keep reminding myself these things. It's like I see all of these good things going on for Adam, praise, concerts, achievements, and for some reason, will angst instead. I guess I was just angry, because I was completely happy and zen with this era. I was like, whatever will be will be, and now I keep letting things get to me and causing me to go down. But I'll be fine so...yeah.. What I think will be really good, and is set to make Adam's profile go up is his couple things he's doing with Queen, (I think it's more then one, because Adam always make it seems like a couple of things, and not just one specific thing) and I think that will translate onto his own music and tours. But we'll see. I'm just starting to get happy thinking about all of the things that are going to be coming up. |

Also interesting that all these interviews didn't focus much on BTIKM. His spiel that he clearly focused on and gave everyone was about his album. I don't think that's a coincidence. |

GOD DAMNIT IF WE HAVE ANOTHER DELAY THE ONLY REASON I WANT IS THAT IT IS BECAUSE OF A SUPER AMAZING COLLAB (BOWIE AHEM) THAT WILL BLOW MINDS AND MELT FACES AND BURST OVARIES. I DEMAND THIS!!!
Oh and if it also gives his single time to smash I am ok with that as well.
