Sick and therefore tired and out of it today, but a late reminder if you haven't already to
do LOCAL requests. Many new stations are test spinning, so check out
requestadamlambert.com/2011/12/27/playingbtikm/ to see if you can start requesting every day from one of them.

Basically I agree with
tigerlily and
midwivespal and want single #2, whenever we get it to stand on it's own as a kick-ass pop song, regardless of who the singer is. The kind of song that everyone wants to try to cover, even if it's difficult. The kind of song that gets tons of remixes. The kind of song that is recognizable and distinct from the field. I don't want any more old demos, I want a new Adam co-write or collaboration, and how ever much time it takes to make that work.
ETA: This doesn't mean I'm down on BTIKM AT ALL, I think it was chosen for good reasons and it's just getting started. just putting out some wishes for single 2, whenever the right time for it is.
I realize that this is a lot easier said that done, but just putting my most fervent wish out to the universe.
My other passing thought. For all that Adam and Adam peripherals are available to us in some limited way, the RCA Team isn't. They are like Oz but we never get to see behind the curtain.
There is no evidence that anyone associated with the label would ever read here or at any other, even official, fan locale. AO no longer has mods active in the threads (except RCA_FlashMod, who I'm pretty sure is a fan given extra duties), RCAEd is long gone.
Aside from Shoshanna, who has been a godsend this era, and isn't associated with the record label, the 'bizness' side of Adam's rollout is completely invisible and opaque. We have no idea what they are thinking or doing.
Not saying that's a bad thing at all, it's no doubt normal operating procedure in many (if not all) cases. But just saying, sometimes I scroll angst because there is absolutely no way that we can influence or inform anything the label decides to do. All we can do is make the most out of what's at hand and support the current game plan until Adam says to jump left, instead of right.
In spite of all this opacity, I do find it interesting that a lot of the early spinners are red state/smaller town and wonder like someone mentioned if that's partly intentional.
