Haha! I always love hearing from Eber. He is very funny. He has always said that Adam cried a lot as a baby. His lungs are really strong. LOL
As to our (my) angsting about Adam's career, I do realize that there are plenty of artists out there who would do anything to be at his level.

You're probably right, but just as with our kids, we want the sun, moon and stars for those we love. And we just want everything, and then some, for Adam.

Adam Lambert to front special ITV show exploring Queer music artists:twitter.com/tellymix/status/1775906006611956129Looking forward to Adam's documentary. He is a great spokesperson and artist for this. On a different note, I have often wondered why gay men love and worship the Divas so much. I recently saw a talk event that sorta explained it. They said gay men were often marginalized by society and it was the Divas who loudly supported them and performed at their Pride events. Gay men could cheer, scream, and sometimes take on their personas and even dress like them without being judged. They could not do that with straight male artists without fear of being rejected or ridiculed by the artists or the audience. Then it was pointed out that Elton, Freddie, and Bowie became huge rock stars and loved by the public BEFORE they came out. And their fans were mostly straight males and females. Then they mentioned younger gay stars today (Adam, Sam, Troye and LNX). But they simply named them and showed their pictures but failed to elaborate or say why they did not enjoy the Diva like support from their community. I can't speak about what the others have done, but Adam was out at the beginning of his career. It made it harder for him to be out before he was at the top of the charts but he did well and he has supported his community with his foundation, interviews, forums, charities and performed at Pride events. He has been a great role model and spokesperson as well as a star and huge talent. So fingers crossed that he can keep as many of his loyal fans as possible and expand and gain greater support from his community.

I have always wondered the same thing about the divas, I wonder why they are considered icons. And, quite honestly, I wonder what would have happened if Elton, Freddie and Bowie were out. Adam became #1 being out. As far as I am concerned he is better than all of them. He is a true icon, nothing hidden.

Adam became #1 being out. As far as I am concerned he is better than all of them. He is a true icon, nothing hidden. Just a guess, but maybe for the longest time the divas were all they had. Old habits die hard. Gay male artists have not been out much on the world stage at the beginning of their careers like Adam. There was Jobriath back in the 70s but he was viewed and treated as a joke and had little success. And there was Sylvester on the disco scene which became unpopular in the late 70s. Ricky Martin and George Michael were in the closest for the longest time and as they climbed the success ladder. Even now, there are so few gay male artists who are on the world stage with major recognition and success tho things are improving. When Adam first came on the scene, some gay publications were not very kind to him. There was one interview in particular that was painful. The gay man interviewing him was downright hostile. He was a huge Gaga fan and he was asking Adam what made him think he was as good as and could take her place? It was so weird that he thought and worried that Adam was trying to replace Gaga. Therefore, he needed to protect her and put Adam in his place. Adam was stunned at the line of questioning but he kept his cool, lol. It was so ridiculous and OTT. It was not as if Adam was showing up dressed in drag and impersonating Gaga. He was trying to get his own career going with his own style which was nothing like hers. Yes Adam complimented her and Madonna way too much but he was not trying to be them. He was a handsome, sexy and talented man and that was why everyone was going nuts over HIM. HA.
