Didn't hear it this time but I heard it a couple of weeks ago on HLN and was pleasantly surprised. Ever since then I've paid more attention to the snippets to get a feel for what they like. Have to say it's all over the place. Glad Adam made their mix. I have no idea what HLN is? Headline News. Channel 204 on Directv. |

Glad I taped the VH1 top 20 countdown and could fast forward thru because they didn't even mention Adam :(

Here's a crazy scenario that's been in my head for a few days.
I imagine Adam and his "team" approaching his career like a game of "Risk." US pop radio is one, albeit big, "country" - Adam doesn't necessarily NEED it to "win" - but it would help a LOT. (And, translating to "real life" - I think Adam is already a huge success and is going to become even more successful with or without big US pop radio presence - but "with" would be betterer.)
With the US, imo, everything related to Adam has to be gone about "sneaking up backwards" - from AI to now. So, he releases BTIKM first (WWFM Part II, seeing as how WWFM was a bona fide hit here), and then it's overseas FIRST to promote, to "secure" positions in countries in which he's already done well and to make a big push to try to win over "UK." Let lots of critics overseas hear more of the album cuts first, get lots of their rave reviews on record about the quality, originality, excitement, etc. of those songs, etc. while US pop radio reacts to BTIKM.
Now (this is the crazy part): There's no way BTIKM is going to unsettle, offend, or rub the wrong way any segment of US pop radio - it's Adam AMAZING vocal of TRIED AND TRUE Claude Kelly's writing, produced by hugely successful Dr. Luke: "pure pop ear-candy." The only legitimate "criticism" possible, really, is, what? "Safe"? Not "representative of rest album," according to those who've heard it? Not THE GREATEST POP SONG currently out there? So, the mv comes out and it's . . . PRETTY DAMN GREAT. Interest in the song is renewed as Adam returns to promo it more directly to US radio and talk about the album. Soon, "according to game plan," PDs etc. themSELVES start clamouring for songs getting "buzz" overseas, that are funkier/dancier. "Yes, BTIKM is nice - But . . .now. . . now give us the FUNK." And then, only after BTIKM has peaked and interest in single two has BEEN piqued - then, single two.
(This is just a "story" in my head that amuses me.)

Mayumi, I asked RCAPromo about the possible delay yesterday and they didn't respond. :( :( for your party and travel plans and the banner. Adam (and RCA) sooo many things are affected by this!! He did seem VERY excited about the Bruno song though. The demo didn't seem dancey at all, they must've really changed it. Listen to the demo again. IMO, it is totally a dance tune. It is dated though. Not sure how I feel about Dr Luke producing it though. |

He did seem VERY excited about the Bruno song though. The demo didn't seem dancey at all, they must've really changed it. I swear yesterday in one of the interviews--not the Grammy ones--he said that him and Bruno were NOT vocal collabs?? I swear that came up recently?? And IDK, I think the demo is pretty dancey. Maybe not disco dancy, lol, but the Popjutsice guy said it was "ravular" which means it would be good music for a rave. What to ppl do at a rave? DANCE (Oh and drop E but whatever lol) And I have a feeling what they had the Popjustice guy listen to was a Adam recording of it--why would they do an album preview and have the reviewer listen to a DEMO from another artist? That makes no sense, so that's why I think the song is recorded and just i a rough state and they are tweaking it now, or that there is a whole other different song as well. I am hesitant to call this the BIG EXCITING FINGERS CROSSED collabo he is wishing for. |

I didn't see any info about Adam being on Fusetv on Monday but a post came thru here yesterday about him being the host on a show on Fuse. I forget the name of the show but it airs at 8PM on Monday. The show is called Maxim's Top Sexy Beats on FuseTV. My UverseTV is showing Mon Tue Wed @ 2:30-3:30pm (central) but will repeat at various different times including the 7-8 pm (central). I wonder if Adam will record the interview (hosting) part when he is in NY. |

ONLY 3 MORE JUST BECAUSE HE'S GORGEOUS    His height, that long torso, those endless legs will never cease to be a source of amazement and butterflies to me. Every time I dwell on it I wonder if there really are fan fics and if the Jackie Collins-ses in our midst find it as fascinating as I do! Going off to hide in a corner and pretend I'm a grown up rather than a sleazy teenager. |

But I think it was an older interview, not yesterday. And yes, Adam has already recorded this. I think it was just added as an album cut within the past two weeks, so I am guessing that now they are finishing the production of it. Remember, before he went to EU, in the interviews he did out of LA, he said the Bruno song might not make the album. Then in the EU interviews, he started talking about it and including it in the album talk. |
