I'm big on forevers so I do think it is amazing that Adam will forever be linked to Queen. Just as we can watch videos of all those who have sung with them before, and groan about a few, in the years to come fans will be able to pull up the Adam/Queen collabs and marvel at his voice. <<< Happy tears! This is what is so amazing about this collab. What a freaking win!! And you know this will only bring more exposure to Adam's music. Thank you Brian and Roger for also seeing in Adam what all of here see!

Mayumi, I asked RCAPromo about the possible delay yesterday and they didn't respond. :( :( for your party and travel plans and the banner. Adam (and RCA) sooo many things are affected by this!! He did seem VERY excited about the Bruno song though. The demo didn't seem dancey at all, they must've really changed it. Listen to the demo again. IMO, it is totally a dance tune. It is dated though. Not sure how I feel about Dr Luke producing it though. I agree. To me this is definitely a dance song--it's just a little bit trance-y, rather than fully up-beat, which is why popjustice called it ravey, I guess. I know the demo hasn't gotten the warmest response here at atop so far, but I actually quite like it--it resonates with some sort of atmospheric nerve in my brain or something, lol. I liked it the first time I heard it and like it more with repeated listens. Totally share your apprehension about a Dr. Luke production, though, mys*&@^#r--it needs updating, yes, but throwing too much slick sound at this thing would drown it out, IMO, and make it seem kinda blah--it should have a little bit of an unpolished, rough'n'ready feel to it. But what do I know about this stuff? very very little.

www.hollywoodreporter.com/earshot/clive-davis-pre-grammy-gala-289505Clive Davis' Grammy Party Preview: Who's Performing, Attending and How Long Will the Exec's Acknowledgments Go Scored a coveted seat at the Sony chief creative officer's gala? Save your energy because it could be a very late night. 8:00 AM PST 2/11/2012 by Shirley Halperin When it comes to pre-Grammy parties, nobody does them quite like Clive Davis. The seasoned music industry veteran, now the chief creative officer of Sony Music, has been throwing a Saturday night gala since 1976 when the big Grammy names of the day were John Denver and Barry Manilow. ... Grammy Parties 2012: Industry Bashes Leading Up to Music's Big Night Over the years, the guest list has gotten longer as have Davis’ trademark acknowledgments, where he points to various luminaries in the room and thanks them for their contributions to music – among the gala’s regulars: Jay-Z, Bill Maher, Diana Ross, Alicia Keys, Usher, Will.I.Am, Jennifer Hudson, and scores more who Davis has either mentored, worked with or shamed by virtue of his decades-long success – in between performances by music’s brightest stars, from the Sony Music canon and beyond. How late will the fete go this year? Past Midnight is a given, but are we talking 1 a.m. or past 2? Davis chuckles when asked about it at a Thursday rehearsal. “We don't intend to do it,” he told THR. “We are much more disciplined now and are going to start promptly at 9:30 p.m.” ... It all kicks off with cocktails at 7 p.m. at the Beverly Hilton. Black tie is encouraged, last-minute guest list requests are not.

When I first listened to this demo, my first thought was that Bruno sounded like crap. I like Bruno's voice, but he is extremely strained here. "Written in the key of WTF!" But then I easily can imagine Adam just killing it! Adam's voice on "eyes!" OMG! I do not want this to be the 2nd single though. I hope RCA lets it be one of his co-writes. Whenever that may be, hoping for Cuckoo or Trespassing ! As upbeat as Adam is, I would think it has to be a little frustrating to have all these co-writes that he is so proud of but to have another song picked as the single.

www.usatoday.com/life/music/awards/grammys/story/2012-02-07/clive-davis-pre-grammy-gala/53003260/1Clive Davis gets the real Grammy party started early By Edna Gundersen, USA TODAY Nobody needs an invitation to the Grammy Awards. Just switch on the TV (CBS, Sunday, 8 p.m. ET/tape delay PT). Getting into the official Pre-Grammy Gala the night before? Now that's a tough ticket. Exclusivity, a high celebrity head count and showstopping performances have turned the traditional Saturday night bash into Grammy season's white-hot black-tie social summit. This year's will be no exception. Nominees Bruno Mars, the Foo Fighters and Tony Bennett have RSVP'ed, along with Alicia Keys, Neil Young, Whitney Houston, Jennifer Hudson, Britney Spears, Diana Ross, Elvis Costello, Wiz Khalifa, Gladys Knight and Jessie J. After 37 years of hosting duties, "it never gets routine," says music mogul Clive Davis. For the fourth year, Davis is co-presenting the event with the Recording Academy. Virgin Group founder Richard Branson will receive the President's Merit Award, given to such industry leaders as Berry Gordy, David Geffen and Davis himself. But that's not why the Beverly Hilton ballroom will be swarming with the rich and famous. They come to be seen, to hatch deals and to witness a private revue that in previous incarnations has served up Houston, Hudson, Chris Brown, Kelly Clarkson, Pink, Santana and scores more in combos that often pre-empt or upstage the next night's Grammy agenda. As usual, Davis is keeping a lid on the music menu. ...
