WTF.. just checked BTIKM on Vevo and youtube Adam has 1,729,453 hits. I thought he had way over 2,000,000.. Like 2,500,000. How can it go backwards..  here is a pic, check again, 2,5 million for music vid 1,7 million for the audio Whew thanks ,You're fast!! I corrected myself above... OT but here's a vid that showed up in my email. Even if the song is not your thing, the video is kinda sweet so please give it a chance (gets off to rather a slow start) and maybe share it with someone. I think it's a nice contribution to the It Gets Better campaign. (Also, I think it's fair to say that from the beginning the lesbian community has been very vocal and positive in its support for Adam. So maybe not so OT after all.) Mika, thanks for bringing this video here. It's a beautiful tribute!  |

I've calculated this video views from when it was posted.
My question is not will it hit 3 million, the question is when will it hit 3 million, according to what I calculated it should be tomorrow, unless the pace is really slowing down and it would take 2 days.
I would put the question like this: how many million views will it gain in one month?
views today: 2 590 307
3 000 000 - todays views = 409 693
views/day: 323 788
days need :2 to reach 3 million
In 30 days will hit 9 713 651 (323 788 views per day x 30 days)
this 9,7 million in one month probably too optimistic, because the pace is slowing down.

Last week Sony twitter accounts from other countries tweeted when the video would be available on i-Tunes. It was 2/14 and 2/21 depending on the country. However, I did not see any tweets about when we could purchase in the US. Did anyone else see any maybe?

Also on the point of collaborating vocally with Bruno Mars: I love the voice of Bruno Mars, but am I the only one who thinks that it would be weird (or at least very unusual) to have two male singing voices on one track? Most collabs involving a male are male/female, OR male vocalist/male rapper. I can't even think of an example of two male vocalists collaborating on a pop hit. Can you? Paul McCartney and Michael Jackson, Mick Jagger and David Bowie, David Bowie and Freddie Mercury, Elton John and George Michael, Phil Collins and Phillip Bailey Jr., Paul McCartney and Stevie Wonder, Bono and B.B. King, Willie Nelson and Julio Iglesias... It happens  |

I want the second song to be one of Adams songs. Adam is a great songwriter and I loved the songs he co-wrote on FYE. He had now 6 singles? FYE, WWFM, IIHY, SW, Fever, BTIKM, not all released in all countries, but you see what I mean? Not one was his. And it would be odd to me, if second would be someone song again, although most songs on the album are co-written by him. Songs by others will always sound like a song by another one, like you can hear Pink in WWFM. Adam is so unique and his songs are unique to me, too. I hear him, although someone else wrote it with him. He has nothing to hide. General public probably does not care, but I care. And also it will give him credits as a songwriter. I chringed when I heard, that the Brunos song is considered as one of the possibilities for the second single. Becuase although I like the song, I will always hear Bruno and also his fans will. It is all over Youtube. No matter how good the song is, I don't want it to be the next single. Rant over ;D I understand what you are saying, but to me, Adam has a way of making any song "his." I don't hear them as anyone else's when he is singing them. It's not like he is singing old stale covers. I want Trespassing to be a huge hit album for him and I really don't care who has the most credits on the songs. If it's Bruno, great. If it's someone else, great. As long as Adam is singing them, I am one happy stan. ETA- Re. someone's question upthread. Lots of male artists do collabs and sing together. |
