aralid, it's always better to have more spins, But, the most important number out of all those you quoted is the +2.3 It means his spins increased. The lower average could mean that some stations that added are not spinning yet. When they do it will continue to go up!  And WOO-HOO for Boston!!!!!!!!!!  ETA: I just woke up and flailed immediately!!

Wow! I guess PA does deserve a pat on the back! In Top 40 (other than Sirius) the top 3 spinners are:
Philly, Allentown & Lancaster in that order!!!
They also have the top AI! Proud to be from PA right now. :D

How about a reality check here for me
What is going on w C HAC? Mementum shld be up and the loss of AI not good.
Now that his AI impression on HAC are above 1 M, presently 2.267 M, shouldn't there be a bump in the Itunes chart. It seems to ge going the other direction. SHould we also be concerned that its not 'hitting' the listeners? COnsidering releasing another within the next month, or RCA still pushing this
I know promo is this week in NY but it seems some stations are slow to spin ei. I finally heard it on WSTW 93.7 only ONCE the whole weekend and the station that we play the game on during the week (chicago 101.9) did not spin it once this weekend. ALthough we have gained, some stations are just playing it sporadically, I'm just getting impatient.
AND then I see on the chart that idol 10 contestent (thou shall not be named) is really not that far behind him. HAC WTF!!
I really expected super increases again I'm just a nervous nelly today

Re: Canadian radio - While there are a few independent minded Canadian stations, I think the majority of the stations base their playlists on American radio (aside from required Canadian content). So I wouldn't expect BTIKM to take off in Canada unless/until it does in the US. Sad but probably true. I think that is why Sleepwalker never got to far in Canada - I am in Calgary and I don't think it was ever played and so far neither has BTIKM. Just my opinion though, cause I know shit about the inner workings of radio. :-/

I really expected super increases again I'm just a nervous nelly today Actually the sales impact won't happen until 10-15 million AI but also Pop AI needs to make a significant portion of that. HAC does not seem to impact sales nearly as much as Pop so we still have a long way to go there. I saw somewhere mention that the entire video was shown on Jump Start this morning so we may see small sales bumps associated with that but keep in mind that for the next few days at least the charts will be dominated by Grammy related tracks not to mention the dozens of Whitney songs that are seeing resurgence due to her death. I think the big drop in sales the last few days has been more about other songs jumping on to the charts rather than any major decrease in sales. Since Adam is not getting any Grammy related bump all these others will push him down further. Hopefully as the radio promo kicks in this week and as the Grammy bounce dies out for others we will see some increases again. |
