I think a mistake that a lot of us made was that we think he is so wonderful, that we believed everyone would recognize it this time and his songs would go shooting up the charts. So, reality was a kick in the pants. He is going to have to work his way up the charts like everyone else not Madonna, Katy Perry and Gaga! He hasn't had that one big hit that makes him a superstar yet! Actually, he is moving up faster than a lot of older songs. This song has really only been out for 6 weeks (you can't count December). He just started promo on the East Coast! This record is the real deal and RCA is behind him all the way. He just needs time, and he needs our support. Let's send positivity out to the universe!

I guess I'm stubborn. I HATE to give up on BTIKM as the single. It's moving in the right direction (albeit slowly) and the video is so great. Don't want it overlooked. There seems to be such a short attention span in music. If it doesn't hit right away trash it and move to something else. I'm absolutely NOT talking about anyone here! I'm talking about the music industry & the music buying/listening public in general. But that is only a perception because of the huge stars who are constantly releasing singles and going right up to top 10. Most singles take months to take hold.I have not seen that RCA does that at all. As a matter of fact, they have been slow in puting out 2nd singles. Exhibit A: "David Cook." Giving BTIKM too much time, would be my worse fear. But since it is moving in the right direction, I think it is all good! ETA: LOL! Stardust types faster than me!  |

I'm one of those who want instant success because we are hugh fans of a fabulous man/voice and want the most/best for him. PUtting it into normal perspective of most other songs, than I guess we have to wait and see. I just get annoyed when I see the massive promo for Madonna, Gag, Perry, Minjai and Bruno, etc. and even thou his song has been added, I haven't seen BTIKM into daily spins. I just get frustrated BUT I will now see roses and keep voting and crossing fingers wishes for #1 Hey it's Valentines Day so I'm going to smell the roses today |

That was my hope and even my expectation until I saw Cooks 2nd album (& singles) tank. I became more realistic in a flash. NGL though, it's still frustrating. Z100 hasn't reported yet. Got my fingers crossed.

NUMBER 3 ON US i-TUNES!!!!!!!!!!!!! BTIKM still at #3 -- would be nice if it moves up, but I'm not gonna hold my breath. Two big hitters, LMFAO ("Sexy and I Know It") and Adele ("RITD"), are ahead of BTIKM. The Grammy bump for Adele is impressive -- RITD came out a year ago and it is currently #2 on the Itunes video ranking and the song is #3 on the overall music ranking. And 2 other Adele songs are also in the top 10 in the Itunes music ranking. I guess that's what 6 Grammies will get you! ETA: Did anyone else notice that BTIKM is not listed under "New and Noteworthy" videos on Itunes? Am I the only one who thinks this is a bit odd? I think Adam's other videos were listed under "New and Noteworthy" when they were released -- why not BTIKM? |
