MyS*&@^#r, Music Mavin, do you think if the album is pushed back till sometime in April, his appearance on Idol will be closer to the new release date and perhaps he might sing "Trespassing" (if it is released by then) instead of BTIKM? I was just thinking that the last time he was on Idol he did the acoustic Aftermath, so I would LOVE to see him sing/debut "Trespassing" on Idol and blow everyone away. Cassie I agree he seems to be "being practical" with the car. He has his priorities......designer shoes and clothes! (hopefully tax deductible) I noticed he said he had bought his mom a BMW convertible, wonder if his new used car is her former car. I'm sure it's a nice car....but it looks like a mom's car to me. I guess I just picture him with a more edgy sports car. Anyway, no biggie....cars come and go. eri9 We have also decided to go ahead with our party mayumi's as planned on the weekend of March 24th, CD, or not. We'll have OOL, BTIKM and Trespassing to listen to, plus tons of other stuff.....and most importantly, we'll have each other!!!

I agree Savvy... the tone of interviews this time around is more "respectful" and less "sensational". However, he just mentioned the "american idol" in addition to the "orientation" as a major obstacle to people giving him serious consideration...(in some interview posted yesterday). I don't really remember him talking about the AI in this light before. So, Adam knows that he is facing three liabilities - the relative weight of each differs by culture/region/country: 1) orientation 2) AI fame 3) being Jewish Psychologically this is a lot to carry and a lot to overcome. But his amazing multifaceted talent and amazing radiating, infectious positive energy as well as the incredible ability to focus and pursue his goals are going to win over all and every one of them! Actually Adam first talked openly about the Idol stigma well over a year ago after he got his Grammy nom. I happen to remember because I wrote an essay about it. He brought it up when speaking with Shirley Halperin and it was in this The Hollywood Reporter article: www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/adam-lambert-grammy-nomination-i-56043As far as the big music business picture is concerned, Lambert acknowledges that the Grammy nod further legitimizes an A&R tool that many in the industry had ostensibly written off, but he emphasizes that the credibility is also his, not just the show's. "I believe American Idol is a dream platform for any artist," he explains. "It did not however, teach me how to sing or perform. I made music for years prior to the show but knew that most major labels wouldn't be interested in me as a mainstream pop artist unless I could develop a legitimate fan base and prove that I had talent. Idol gave me these opportunities. But I feel I earned my current success by preparing and executing a variety of strong performances every week on the show and being comfortable being different." Indeed, as one of RCA's breakout acts of last year -- with nearly one million units sold between his full-length, a remix album and an acoustic EP -- Lambert was able to parlay TV exposure into a real music career, no small feat in this time of talent show overload. "In addition to the writers and producers of the track, I hope that at this point, after all the hard work I've done over the past year, the nomination will give me credibility as a true vocalist in the industry," he says, "and perhaps help fade some of the stigma that comes from rising to fame on a competition show."

I would say it depends on how BTIKM is doing. I do know one thing though, all the So Cal peeps put in for the March 22nd or 29th Idol shows, for tickets, so we have all probably put in for the wrong dates! :( eri, I am so sorry about your party and I understand the frustration. If March 20th wasn't the official date, then RCA should not have announced it as the official date! Once they did their announcements, I would have figured March 20th was a safe date to build a viewing party around! :-/

I don't think we are supposed to use the word 'USED' to refer to a BMW, tho'. The marketers are trying to re-frame it with the word "pre-owned." And a recent ad says you are not the new owner, but the heir to the car. hahahaha [snicker] I thought the absolutely correct terminology was "New To ME"

The only person who should sing this song as a tribute to Whitney at the Grammy's. yep....cuz it wouldn't be a singer trying to outsing Whitney. Dolly's version is different but equally incredible. still kinda bummed about JHUD....I think it's tacky. I like Dolly, but I just saw the latest movie she was in. Her voice is not what it used to be. Other than writing this song, what soes Dolly have to do with Whitney? Whitney and JHud knew each other and they are both black women who are diva type singers. From what I understand Jennifer and Whitnet were fans of one another. From an earlier article: "Houston actually presented Hudson with her first Grammy. Hudson said meeting her idol "almost overshadowed getting the Grammy." What does an older, white, country singer have to do with Whitney Houston? ???

how would one do that? Wouldn't that be dangerous for ones' eyes? I am totally ignorant here... There have been special dyes for the eyelashes for years...at least 20. But they don't add any volume so it looks like he is wearing just a little waterproof mascara as well....:-) I am very fair and tried coloring my eyelashes a few times but quit when I realized I still had to apply mascara as blondes/redheads 'usually' also have reasonably fine eyelashes...perhaps not Adam..hard to tell He is definitely still using make-up, just lighter on the color and less on eyes My nieces all have really thick red hair like Adam and all have really thick, long eyelashes. But they are light and so they dye them.

Have NO recollection of the date!
