Re the possible delay, I think it just means even more opportunities to see him in promo mode during the run up. I know we all want the music, but once it is out that will be it for probably the next two years so the longer he is out there selling both before and after the better for us! If he wants a hot collab he would otherwise have to wait years for if he didn't get it squeezed it in on this album I can see that being worth it- he has to live with these 12 songs and make a career out of them for a long time. In the meantime he will be everywhere all over radio and any other opportunities between now and then so I don't think he is going to be forgotten. And he seems to be happy and excited......glowing even! I love this post. The voice of sanity

I have been requesting at KBIG, so I'm thrilled that they actually played BTIKM. I hope they add it today or next week! Requests for the day complete. ETA: Happy Birthday to Adamtopia! And many thanks to Q3 and all of the moderators for all of your terrific work in keeping this site humming!

WHOA, ok. IMO the idea that *Adam* has pushed back the album because he is a perfectionist and wants more time to work on it is absurd and does not show a lot of understanding for how complex decisions are taken in corporations. Sony is still a corporation and a lot of revenue is at stake on this project. Adam is executive producer of this album, but this means he has control over what songs go in the album. IMO it does not mean that Adam has final say as to the release date. There is promo, sales, distribution, etc. that depends on the release date of an album and hence this is a decision that is likely made at the *highest* level of RCA. Adam may have input, if he's lucky and has good management he will be listened to, but knowing how corporations work I think there's ZERO chance he has the final say on this. Also, if they decided to postpone the album, it's a good thing IMO. It gives more time for BTIKM to grow at radio and for a second single to grow at radio before the album drops. To me, it shows that RCA has faith in this project and is not taking it lightly. The *worse* thing they could do is drop the album when there isn't a hit single from it to drive sales. I just wanted to write the same. Me too lifetraveler

Question for anyone who knows- Since I have seen so many fans clamoring for BTIKM to be ditched and Trespassing or Cuckoo to take its place (even tho we haven't even heard those songs in their entirety), if that happens, will Adam have to start all over again with the new single and make all the same promo stops again to butter up all the radio PDs? Here and abroad?

April - I was listening to B104 this morning and they are still not saying when or where it is! It's "Top Secret" lol. Did you hear the girl that won the first M&G had to identify IIHY played BACKWARDS??? BTW - I posted this in the Numbers thread but I have to squee/brag a bit here since there is some concern for CHR right now. Other than Sirius the 3 top CHR spinners are: Philly Allentown Lancaster ALL IN PA!!!!! A little proud right now. YAY! AWESOME. I had it on all morning. Didn't hear anything about tix being given away today I thought it was tomorrow :( booo. He is so worth standing out in the cold for. I read it somewhere, think it was on their website, to listen to their show, between 5a-9a for additional change to win. When I looked back to find that information, it was gone. So listen again tomorrow.

As someone mentioned a few days ago and this thought has stayed with me......unless you are a fan of Adam, you've not heard much about the single or the album here in the States. His radio promo's just started over Grammy weekend in LA. Now, he's in NY and doing radio promo's there. I really don't see BTIKM moving much until the end of this month. We have to keep requesting to help things along. The album will drop when it's done. I'm just glad we're seeing a lot more or Adam out and about and not back in that insidious drought of spring and summer! This is exactly what I was thinking and you said it so well. We know more because we follow him around the world via internet but the average person does not. Hopefully, by the time the Album drops he will have a hit or semi-hit on the radio, will have completed US promo and maybe even a Queen rumor or announcement will happen. About the only thing I don't want is for him to release the week of Madonna. And knowing about Mangj (spelling?) perhaps not that week either. Would really like Adam to have a clear take-off the week his album gets released. I don't ask for much, do I?:-)

Well, I'm not going to panic. Yes, it's frustrating as fuck, but I think it's likely the worldwide coordination of the roll out and yes, maybe one more dream collaboration. As I've said a bazillion times, it's the not knowing that drives me crazy. I wish he'd let us know what's up so we don't continue to play this guessing game and chase our tails. But love seeing him do promo and he continues to seem psyched and one week continues to roll into the next and somehow, some way we'll make it. I do feel for the New Zealand fans who have went to such great lengths to plan the release party – like Mayumi's – and I wish TPTB would "get" how much planning goes into these things so if they're going to change it, just say so. This is how I feel. I meant to say in my previous post also that I know there are reasons for a delay so I can understand. The promo is so exciting. When the video came out I watched over and over but I find myself watching the interviews the same way. His pics and interviews have been fantastic. I like the new voting on Vh1. Do we know what kind of rotation it has? Didn't there use to be something like Mega then Large and so on.

Well, a delay is fine as long as it doesn't mess with his album promo (and they get it out before all those TV shows go on summer hiatus). I also have to think that RCA was counting on having something of a radio hit by the end of March (or top 10 HAC at least); so they probably need this extra time. But this is also kind of late in the game to be pushing things back. The album is being advertised everywhere as coming out March 20th. And maybe it still is, guess we'll find out this week.
And at risk of sounding angsty (which I absolutely am not), I hope the label isn't scrambling around in an eleventh-hour search for more "radio-friendly" songs to include. For whatever reason, the Bruno song (which I am actually excited for, although I hated the demo) and the song "Naked Love" feel like label picks to me.
