Adam has many great songs that were never heard except by fans that could be re-released. As much as I understand why he re-did WWFM, the last I heard WWFM was 4 times platinum in the US. Gold or platinum+ in multiple countries and it got a Grammy nomination. If he had left He in the song at that time, it may have had the same fate as Fever, with NO release. So he and his label made the best choice they could make at that time. IIHY was next and more pop oriented and it did okay by going gold but nowhere near as well as WWFM which was pop/rock with a rock edge. And his career may not have taken off the way it did if that had been the choice instead of WWFM. On the other hand, if they had gone with Sleepwalker (a favorite of mine with Pop/rock or rock edge) it may have done as well or better than WWFM but we will never know because they slept on it. And yes Runnin from Trespassing was a favorite too so a re-release would be wonderful. Love that song.

Lol! Thanks for posting Runninā live piā¦ I repeat myself..on this threadā¦ but Runninā is one of my VERY VERY fav Adam songs! Love listening to him singing it. TRUER WORDS from Adamā¦ ā I Fā ed Upāā¦.when asked about why it was not on the base albumā¦ relegated to a bonus track. Also one of my favorites. It is on my treadmill playlist. I listen to it every day and love it every day. Maybe it should be re-released ike WWFM......just saying.Have thought of this often...even today. Far better for getting attention than WWFM, which to me is old news. As Adam gave up "the rights" to his first two albums to get out of the record deal he signed after Idol...I have often wondered if he would al least still get writing credit money for any of those songs when played...especially on youtube as it has racked up millions as background for games, animations etc....or if all residuals go to that former label. I would like to pose questions related to that concept to Adam ...well have ...but ignored on his live chats. Other random thoughts: More recently I wondered if ..he could re work Runnin' just as he did with the songs on High Drama. Taylor Swift seems to be having good luck with that concept!!!! Also also have wondered if the Beyonce perfume that used Runnin' for that promotion had to pay the writers/producers etc anything...or if they just stole the song... with one less runnin' and some lyric changes...but the beats...same!!! |

I love the mash-up (no idea if this is the correct word), that he pairs two other songs with Runninā at this concert. This entire concert was š„. A couple of friends and I always play a game of which concert of all the ones we have seen of an artist we would choose to go to if we could. For me, this concertāI think it was in Viennaāis a no-brainer for my Adam solo choice. Likewise, I would give my eyeteeth to have been at the Tokyo 2002 Aerosmith Concert. It is the best online concert I have ever watched. I know this isnāt an Aerosmith site, but we have mentioned other artists before. I love them almost as much as I do Queen, and I think that Steven Tyler is the top frontman ever if you look at what that entails overall. And I include the mythical Freddie in my consideration. Still, I know that Aerosmith can be polarizing for a number of reasons. For Queen, I pick Montreal 1981, and there is a MSG QAL concert I would choose If I could find it. And there was a Boston concert that I would go to for his GDML performance alone. When Adam wears lower shoes that allow him a lot of freedom to work a stage and dance more, that probably changes my idea of top frontman. Anyway, this is the game nobody asked for, but it is really fun to play with friends and gives some different things for people to watch. Some people post a certain video for their concert pick that they think exemplifies what they like about that performance. Does anyone have a favorite QAL performance or concert? What about Adam solo? Letās play a bit, if you like. Although it was long ago, this is one of my favorite Adam performances ever. He āoutkissedā Kiss!

As for China, I am deeply, deeply confused. Is Adam a guest star? A competitor? If he is a competitor, why, at this stage in his career? Just seems like some strange optics at this point, but I might be the only person feeling that way, and perhaps it is because of my confusion. |
